I was just amazed at the roadshow for the jcba how an asa rep answered a question that it was the best deal for everyone when he was going to get a raise as a senior asa guy and i was keeping my old rate (3 cent/hr raise) PLUS losing my DC plan (i.e. pay cut).
This is going to be the main problem with a new jcba, the asa folks have to be brought up to the l-xjt level benefits - isn't that an argument why the asa mec should give up on flightline ... your pilots are going to be getting much more out of a new jcba than the erj guys, a little give and take

I agree that a TA can't pass right now that cuts your retirement and insurance. That's why I believe Inc. is just going to draw down your side until most of the votes are on the ASA side.
The new Inc. management, doesn't really care if we ever merge at this point. They say the synergy isn't really there. The ASA side will likely bid on some of the 145 flying. Eventually the LXJT will be much smaller.

You know that management has said 145 flying will never go to ASA or skywest side. As I understand it there are opportunities for 145 flying. Now that the worthless dwarf of a COO is gone maybe we can all go ahead and advance together for once.
I wonder if flying with JohnBre... is as bad experience as it appears when he's online

Bummer you forgot about that goodwill. Bummer it wasn't extended for the entirety of the furlough as well.
Despite the bad rep, deserved or not, that Pilot (you?) really went to bat for the junior folks. On that one, hats off, well done!

I don't think he means a transfer of flying. I think he means that the contracts expire, or get terminated early and rebid on with CRJ or E170 flying, not 145's.

And maybe someone can correct me here, but I'm pretty sure that if there are pairings left that will not add up to 90 for this example, but at least 75 hours, it will still award a schedule before reserve correct?

Nope, if you don't make it in the window you'll get reserve. However they'll typically lower the bottom of the window during bid runs if too much open time is being left over.
