I liked this thread better when it was arguing about PBS.

As you drool there in your ivory COCKpit looking down upon the regional minions and snarl, "my precious widebody, my precious widebody" please remember, your identity can be snatched from you in an instant. Then, without that widebody to support your overinflated ego, where would you be? I have a hunch, but that's for another day.

Ok, point taken. I forgot to abide by a famous blogosphere mantra, "don't feed the Trolls."

If AWAC does become a DCI carrier, at least they are a reputable regional with a solid contract (their pay is higher than ASA) and they didn't have to sell out like PSA, 9E, and PDT to gain flying, this would truly be a first in a long time where a bottom feeding regional didn't gain flying at everyone else's expense. I'm interested in seeing what unfolds if this rumor turns out to be true.

wait a second……9e voted to GAIN flying? That's why hundreds of people are leaving, they are downgrading 7-8 year FO's and they are going down to 81 airframes(known before the BANKRUPCY vote)? Please research before you feel the need to open your mouth and sound totally clueless.

Where in my post did I say that 9E "voted" to gain flying? I didn't, I specifically lumped 9E into the group of airlines that have "sold out" to management for various reasons for perceived gains, in 9E's case it was for the SSP with Delta and the fact that many thought 9E had "no other choice but to play ball." I will admit my language was suggestive that 9E "voted yes" for new flying, even though they didn't get any, so for that, I apologize.
