Except for we are not talking about flight line work rules. You keep your flight line work rules. We negotiate smartpref work rules. They don't interchange. What is it you guys don't get about that? That's what the whole PBS process agreement is about.

You guys are sad. Just get out of the stupid regional world already! It's a place where dreams go to die. Look at yourselves bickering about petty differences between ASA and XJT. News flash, they both suck!! I hope they both go out of business soon. They are like an old dog that needs to be put down.

Great post! I recently put in my two weeks and I've never been happier. I'm so tired of all this petty bickering like a bunch of school girls. It really is sad. CA tony, Joe, and all you other pathetic losers who post nothing but BS on here I hope you get what's coming to you! Sayonara DB's!!

To all the great people at the combined XJT I wish y'all the best and hope you can get out of the regional hell soon. You will never be happier than when you give them your two week notice. Good luck and I wish y'all the best

I'd love to get out, but how can I do that when there are no upgrades and I'm sitting at 7 years with 300+ in front of me? Maybe people like you who don't care are the reason our airlines sucks. If you don't like the forums, then maybe you should stay off of them.

And what don't you guys understand? NO SEPARATE WORK RULES!

No, the reason XJT sucks is because it's a regional. None of your annoying bickering is doing anything to better your situation. Management will do as they please despite your mind numbing internet cat fights.

For god sake man, 7 years and still an FO with no upgrade in sight and yet you stay at a regional anyway? Maybe you are the problem. Management has you right where they want you. You are a defeated scared little pilot who is unwilling or unable to do what it takes to get out and better your career.

You should be demanding all our good things like we demand your good things. Or are you ok with me telling you that you need to give away vacation low and your rigs?

The fact of the matter is that neither side wants a concession. That's a good thing! We knew that voting no, and not agreeing to concessions, meant a static fleet plan (at least on the erj side). So with those facts on the table, what's wrong with neither said taking a concession, whether that's through a new TA or status quo? That's my solution and from the sounds of some of your guys, management is happy with that. Oh well, I hope everyone has a plan b, at least the ERJ guys.

So go check your credibility now.
Unfortunately, you didn't actually provide a solution. You have a couple of ideas, but no solution. A solution is "a means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation." I don't see anything like that in your post.

For the record, I didn't say I wanted concessions. I have never said that. However, having spent a long time in business I understand that the term 'negotiate' means give and take on both sides. That being the case, if we can 'negotiate' a TA that provides better QOL for 90 percent of the pilot group and better pay (w2 pay, not pay rates) for 90% of the pilot group while utilizing the exact same benefits and work rules for all of us, I would vote for it, even if we lost OJI, Vacation low and some other outliers. That doesn't mean I want to give up anything. It does mean I am willing to look at the entire picture without getting hung up on one single issue.

As far as Vacation Low is concerned, I think it is one of the dumbest things a management team could ever agree to. It costs too much for no real return on investment. Do I like it? Absolutely. Do I use it? Of course. Is it a good idea for long term sustainability? No, which is probably why nobody else has it. Will I vote for a contract that changes it significantly? Yes, as long as the overall contract is better for most of us, and treats us all the same.

Where do you expect him to go, Old Wise One? Do you realize how difficult it is to go from right seat RJ to a major? Do you realize that 99% of all regional FO's are desperately trying to get out?

Please, by all means, tell us the secret!

I've flown with plenty of FO's that are moving onto other better jobs. And not lateral moves to other regionals. If you think it's impossible to move on then It will be impossible

How many of them were interns, or had contacts in management, or had parents at a major? Sure, it's happening, but it's not happening for the overwhelming majority.
