Non-airlines person here. Just someone with stock, that occasionally reads the forum and have for years. This is the first time I’ve felt completely appalled by a post (Regards to archy meat-pants). After reading that, will I ever put my family on a flight with an Expressjet connection again? Absolutely not. For fear it will have him/her in the cockpit.

Keep in mind archy meatpants, it isn’t just your family of pilots, to whom you should always be loyal. But outsiders read this to.

So grow up, take your millennial diapers off and put your big boy/girl pants on.

hahahahaha some spirited fiery responses. I love it. Debated whether to respond to all or one at a time. I enjoy a nice personal hand written sentiment.

I'm truly devastated that you'll never fly on an aircraft piloted by myself. It is with deep and sorrowful regret...you need to understand something sir, these pilots are not my family. My family is my family and these pilots are causing a true ****** show. I don't care about them one bit beyond making sure they don't kill me during a four day. I do appreciate the boy/girl and him/her. Very PC of you.

Similar backstory, only one difference. Every ASA pilot (CA or FO) that I've met in the hotel van or bar has been, lets be nice and say, unpleasant.

I am a Lxjt FO (8/07) and will have no problem flying with any CRJ pilot on the line. They are more than welcome to our side. Your attitude is what has doomed this pilot group from the beginning.

Lastly if you do decide to follow thru on your threats you will be fired.
Hmmm '07 hire FO, so that means you started a business or got another job and XJT is your "out of the house" gig to stay current. Your in a different position than I am. Not everyone is being treated so well. Ill make you a deal, Ill take a good hard look from your side if you put yourself in my shoes for a day. And my friend, Ive left the cockpit a handful of times before for fear of creating an unsafe work environment with my crew and Ive never been reprimanded. The FAA would say the same.

Don't see me getting terminated for not wanting to fly under unsafe conditions. If anything I would be praised. Not safe to fly with someone you don't get along with or trust. That wall goes up and the risk follows. Ive done it before and Im still here.

Finally, I enjoy how no one had a problem with my original post except the not flying with an ASA guy part. I only assume you all agreed with the rest as it was sincere and true.

Right, who bought who, in my post was that INC MADE THE Purchase not ASA, so I'm not sure why The fo is mad at asa pilots.

‘07 FO just means he doesn’t want to upgrade to EWR. Currently that seniority can’t hold CA anywhere else. As for walking out of the cockpit because you’re flying with an ASA pilot......if that’s your ONLY reason, that isn’t going to go well for you. The claim of “unsafe due to CRM breakdown” isn’t going to protect you from YOUR inability to grow up and be a professional.

There is a difference between putting one person on a no-fly list and putting an entire group on a no-fly list. Trying doing that with a group now- say gays, minorities, etc. It won't fly (pardon the pun). When you start making blanket statements about not flying with groups it is a problem with you. And yeah, management most likely will get involved. And future employees, if they get wind of something like this, will definitely not hire you.

Gentlemen I'm going to clarify something because I believe the anger muddled my point...I guess you don't understand why I don't necessarily wanna fly with someone from ASA. I lost 1000 numbers on the integrated list. Pretty shocking and quite infuriating.

I know ASA lost a lot more (like the whole damn company) and I am actually very empathetic, as I've said. Sucks. Really does to have something like that happen and have to either uproot what you've built in ATL or be forced to move on. It would **** me off too. But, with my experience in dealing with the ASA side I can say in all honesty, I don't like y'all as a pilot group. I wish it wasn't like that. I wish the groups got along better, but the reality is they don't. Quiet hatred as I stated. And that all starts from the top and MEC...

Imagine you're building a house and you get the walls up and the interior installed. Its coming along nicely. Hasn't been easy, but its building a well earned home that you can live in for a long time. Now imagine that home that you worked so hard on being partially knocked over by a bulldozer. ASA pilots are the bulldozer and the company is the drunk driver. My career thus far in a nutshell.

Sure, we can be some what civil to each other in the crew room, but put yourself in my shoes. The same shoes as the bottom 40% of the XJT seniority list. We'll never upgrade now. Never. And its more of a stomach blow to know that some ASA FO that couldn't meet Delta performance standards can come over and take my captain spot on the ERJ when in reality they don't deserve it. (I know it was more than poor performance, but thats for another time).

I would like a question answered. For real...Why would anyone from ASA really want to come to XJT? I've heard rough numbers that around 30%ish would come over in the end but why? Endeavor would be better and for the senior guys...retire or Delta. I just would like a real answer as to why even 30%ish would wanna come here with what you know. Even new hires don't wanna come here and they don't know jack about this industry.

I wish you all clarity and understanding...And SuperX...just saying "[I] need help" is not an argument unless your a doctor on your off days sir.

I encourage the middle 30% to come over....just to spite you.

(In all fairness, you do have some valid points embedded in your misguided post. I didn’t hear of anybody losing 1000 numbers. I lost about 750, but those numbers aren’t even real. You don’t know what’s going to happen until it’s all over. The company keeps publishing lists, and your number is the original number.)

Besides..........haven’t you heard........United just bought us.

That actually made me laugh. Thanks for at least finding some validity in my argument, even though you may not fully agree with how crassly I'm saying it. But yes, I lost 1020 to be exact when the lists merged. Painful to say the least. XJT has only ever had the original list posted, never seen any changes to it. Maybe I sent the Unions emails to spam. See you at United in two weeks where we can all just get along.

Man, the rumor that just won't die.
And yeah, changing by a number does not mean squat. What matters is your relative seniority. Some go up, some go down. I fell back as well... but moved up a few %.
Of course, as written above, wait for the dust to settle. I may not move up any. I may move up more. Right now the LASA side is losing over 100 pilots/month. While that may sound good, it isn't. That means we probably won't be able to staff the ERJ flying promised by UAL.
UAL really needs to get their crap together and figure out what they want to do with their regionals. They're going to wake up one day and find all the ERJ's parked with no pilots to man them.
