Last I checked we are not even at the color picking phase, but simply at the lets get an estimate phase and see a few choices on colors. Then starts the negotiation with the contractor on the price phase of each color. Now your story is complete.

.

The paint color has been chosen already and is being put on the house. Didn't you read that the NC has already given the company their section 28 proposal? We didn't get to say what paint color we preferred. The MEC refused to ask. The MEC chairman has even gone as far as stating that the MEC isn't in the business of asking the members what they want, they will chose and then we can decide if we like it or not.

So, the paint color is going up and we get to look at the finished product and decide if we like it or not. The MEC didn't even have the balls to tell the NC what to pursue, they left it up to the NC. That's not how it is suppose to work. My block rep stated in an email that the MEC didn't approve anything that the NC was to pursue in section 28 other than make improvements.

On another topic, what a hypocrite you are! Complaining about others taking draft/AVA/VBB when you stated you made over $350,000 in 2020 when your pay rate was no higher than 6 year NB captain pay. Unless, of course, you were here for the last contract, which you say you weren't. They were even buying up lines in the 75 through June of last year. So much for you supporting the union when they were trying to get improvements negotiated regarding COVID. As far as management trolls go, haven't you stated that you have relatives in management?

Every block rep I’ve talked to really likes orange paint. Haven’t flown with anybody who likes orange paint all that much.

The reps dont ratify a contract. We do. Has orange paint been brought forth in a TA to be voted on? How about purple or grey? Now you see how you made my point for me.

I have flown with numerous people who have said they are open to look at other A plan options. They specifically say when they fly with an individual that is vehemently opposed to anything else they purposely go along with them to avoid conflict.

Well actually, he is. As abrasive as he can be sometimes, I think that’s who I want on my side, representing the pilots.

The reps aren't the sole votes to ratify a contract, but they are the ones who decide whether or not to send it to the membership.

The NC and MEC knows what color they are asking for, they just won't tell us. Do you really think they are submitting a proposal that says we prefer this color, but if you don't like it, our second and third choices are this? If so, then we are paying for the labor to paint the house, but allowing the contractor to pick the color. If we don't like the color, we can change it, but have to pay for the labor again. Why not let us pick the color we want first?

So, these pilots tell you that they go along with others to avoid conflict, but when they talk to you and agree with you, they aren't trying to avoid conflict? Yeah, sounds about right!

It is interesting to see the ebbs and flows of these threads. This one is about recalling representatives who are not listening to the members. Tony is very smart, very well studied, and knows the history of the zoo. Tony's motive is Best Value for the Pilots. Anyone criticizing Best Value for the Pilots has a different motive.

It comes down to this. Do you want a rep or officer that thinks they know more or better than the members, so much so they refuse to listen?

So I'll ask it this way, you are about to buy a car, are you willing to let them pick your car? The cost? The options? And then let everyone vote whether you get that car or not?

Now, know they are going after the wrong car, what do you do? Do you stay silent? Or do you try to effect change before the deal is inked?

Balls in your court.

We paid an agent to buy the best car for us and they are doing their job. At the end they present us the car and we get to decide if we like it or still get a chance to refuse. If we refuse yes it’ll cost more because we gotta maintain the current car but we’ll always get choice in the one we want.
The problem is there is a loud mouth neighbor that says he knows what kinda car you want instead because he’s a car expert and tries to fire the agent before they have a chance to do their job.

Also the car dealer isn’t going to want to sell a car that is so terrible that future buyers will be turned away.

We have a serious pilot recruitment issue pending if we destroy our contract. Maybe some of you have been here too long listening to your own echo chamber. Do you really think FedEx is going to destroy our contract to save money on less than 1/100th of their employees and hurt their prospects of running an airline due to the lack of pilots?

TonyC and I have met your agent. If your agent would have taken the time to listen to the pilots, I would be doing almost anything else right now.

And if you think the car dealer is going to help get us the best deal on the best car, I know a guy who has some ocean front property in Arizona he would like to discuss with your agent.

Pretty sure the other 12 in the room also met the agent and didn't see it your way....but you do you.
