Losing seniority numbers suck, take it from us, here at Delta. At the end of the day, you are going to have to suck it up. Life or mergers are not fair. The sooner you can move on (very hard to do) the better your life will be.
BTW, in the Delta and NWA merger, guys lost anywhere from 400-2000 numbers.

It was my impression that was a merger of Equals (major to major, ei-branded ops VS FFD). No big/small plane debate here, just the TYPE of operations.
If UAL & Skywest combined lists, would everyone would just "suck it up" and "move on"? mmmm?
You are right - at some point it will be over and finished. We are NOT there yet.

You say you "lost" 846 spots. If there were a system re-bid for all types under the RAH holdings umbrella, what position would you hold, and how would it compare to the position you are in now? If the most senior airbus captain retired (creating a vacancy), how would that affect you (would you move up, down, or stay the same)? IF RAH/F9 never bought or sold another airplane till the day you retire, which seat would you be sitting in and what seniority would you have?
Compare that to the F9 pilot that lost 846 spots.

This isn't intended to be a woe-is-me, but just to illustrate that plenty of us here native to RAH got the sh*t end of the stick too.
Also, not to take away from ex-midwest and what they went through. I'm sure even a street captain position here sucks compared to their former life. Losing spots sucks no matter the circumstances, but especially bad when likely-to-be-lifer street CA's clog up spots needed to attain the goal of getting some PIC and getting the F out.
If RAH/F9 never bought another airplane until I retired, I'd be in the same spot as today: waiting for people to leave so I can get the stupid TPIC my preferred airline wants, so I can leave. Point is: I cannot today, nor in 6 years, push anyone down in any equipment (and I don't want to). Again, just pointing that not everyone at RAH got this magic windfall all the F9 guys are outwardly ****ed about.

Oh...and..i like how F9 pilots put themselves in the same peer group as Delta for SLI examples. LOLZ....if DAL did merge lists with F9, the F9ers would have faired far worse than with RAH. Funny how to the F9 pilot it seems SLI are valued on how cool and achieved you think you are....and whether you live in CO or not weighs heavily.

Obviously a typical arrogant Delta driver. Ignore him. He doesn't realize that he is where he is out of luck, that he hasn't merged and tacked on the bottom somewhere else like so many others. I actually saw two Delta guys with stickers on their flt bags that said, "Hired, not acquire." How cockey.
I hope you guys at Frontier land on your feet somewhere. Good luck.

Not true. They were 8 guys hired before IMSL implamentation and are only using IMSL for monthly bidding and vacation puroses as clarified by the arbitrator. They can NOT use IMSL for any other bidding purpose (ie domicile, upgrade, transition, etc...). Incidently, 25% of the Midwest guys washed out already so now they're down to 6.
I am assuming you are a former Marine. First off be very careful how you use the term "washed out." Secondly spell check, or my very rudimentary techniques for spelling should be used before you post. If one has washed out I always try to explain why. If 25% of the Midwest folks washed out then perhaps you can tell us why that would be. I have no doubt based on the history of ME that they were qualified.
You folks at F9 are and have been in somewhat of a predicament lately. I certainly don't envy you. Good luck!

Did those mainline folks at Delta or NWA, lose any numbers to a regional pilot?

We had guys get furloughed in 2001-2002 because of 9/11 at NWA.
On the new combined list, most of those year 2000 NWA hires are below 2007 hires at Delta. A few of those 2007 Delta hires started flying in 2001/2002, while NWA guys were getting furloughed. Now they are senior to the NWA pilots. Life is not fair sometimes, but you have to live with it.

The airframes we gained in the Q400's are almost a net wash considering the parking of the smallest e-jets, selling/sub-leasing of a few 170's and 190's leaving. I have made some progress up the list (less than half way up the RAH FO list in almost 5 years) but most of that is due to attrition. The Q400's have prompted the company to 'recall' ex-midwesters, upgrade, and hire to replace the attrition of the last couple of years that had not been replaced when they left.
