Quick upgrades - for the foreseeable future, according to the current plan.
Lots of schedule flexibility once off of reserve.
If you live in domicile and you would have to commute at United.
Those are the only legit reasons I can list, unless you are okay with monetizing good people to work with. I like the majority of my friends at United 😏and they have lots going for then. United is more of a career destination airline - unless you really like Frontier.

Who else does this? Is it common place among majors?

Oh, absolutely no worries! I should've thrown a
or two in there!
My main point was, I fully understand why there are so many (from what I read here) guys bypassing upgrades--if I lived in Denver (as the majority do) and could choose to stay a super-senior FO in-domicile, I wouldn't even consider upgrading to go to Orlando. As a commuter, I'd consider it, sure--but I seriously doubt I'd consider the (difficult for me) commute as worth the extra captain pay....
I definitely wasn't trying to express any sour grapes or regrets. When I get asked "How was Frontier?" (which is just about 100% of the time whenever the conversation gets around to "So, where were you before here?"), I answer--honestly--that I have nothing bad to say about my time at F9. For career and compensation reasons, I continue to believe I made the right decision to leave--but it was FAR from a no-brainer....

I'll stay tuned to see if it actually happens.
If/when it does happen, I'll stay tuned further to see the results when the first guy breaks it....

Frontier kinda sucks.. If I'm going to be stuck flying an Airbus for the rest of my career, I'm at least going to a place that won't pay me regional wages. I don't know how Frontier is able to recruit candidates with their low pay. Just another example of guys and girls brining the bar lower.

Do these guys have a training agreement as well? ***!!! I wonder if United or Delta or even Spirit has a training agreement..

Droolin, you're an idiot and I'm quite sure you are doing a spectacular job of "brining" the bar lower. Every sentence in your post screams ignorance, but I'm especially loving the 'stuck in the Airbus' comment. Sounds to me like you are stuck where you are and may have a basket full of sour grapes as well!!! A.S.S.wipe #crjorerjgearthrower
