if you have ALPA helping you...good luck...just take a look at the fine fine fine job they're doing over at Delta. You guys definitely need pay raises, but similar to the insane sacrifices Delta pilots made, the union sucks at restoring our pay and benefits. Hopefully you'll have more luck.

I disagree wholeheartedly with this mentality. ALPA does not make the decisions. The MEC steers the ship...period. To say the union sucks at restoring pay and benefits is a way oversimplified statement. You don't just snap your fingers and VOILA...everything is done. The number of moving parts is overwhelming and the process is designed to take a tremendous amount of time. I believe all pilots should have to take a course, call it, Understanding The RLA-101. It would keep comments like the one that spawns this post from occurring.

while I agree, and completely understand the process, your argument is void of the nature of humans who gain power over others. Few resist the urge to grab for more. Those that are honorable and do the right things are usually, sadly ran out on a rail. Inevitably your MEC, LEC, negotiating comittees will eventually give up transparency cleverly explaining away why they have to remove transparency, express why you are not informed enough, trained enough, or smart enough to make decisions. Then they will float a substandard TA your direction and claim its the best they can get due largely to the difficult management decisions that require more money to execute, while demanding more productivity from you. While i hope this wont be your experience if I were you I'd print this prediction out to see how close to reality it becomes. Surprisingly I'm an optimist, but having watched 4 years + of ALPA excuses and insanity I have yet to be inspired, except for known crew member.
The internal dynamics at an airline like Delta are not the same as Frontier. I don't think we can necessarily look at your results and extrapolate them to predict our results.
I don't disagree with the pathetic picture you paint of human nature, nor do I disagree that history repeats. I just think the individual motives guiding your NC, your MEC, your senior widebody CA's, your MD-80 FO's etc. are entirely different than ours.

I hope, for your sake, you have another opportunity that presents before you get wrapped in the drama and total bs that comes with working for F9. Any other carrier would do you better, and I'd definitely include Allegiant in your search.

Any truth to the rumor we had quite a few no shows for the August class?

Frontier is a great place to work.
The pay needs to get straightened out and it will. It's going to take time and a unified effort from the pilot group. Nothing more, nothing less, that's the same **** that's been going since the beginning of the airline industry.
Based on what was posted above you need to eliminate DAL and SWA from your job search also, they're dealing with the same pay issues.
