They're not dealing with the same pay issues. Our rates are anywhere from 40-80% less than what their narrowbody pilots make not even counting profit sharing. First year FOs here make LESS than regional wages. I'm all for optimism but anything short of getting released into the 30 day cooling off period is going to accomplish nothing with Indigo. If we're lucky we might get released a couple years from now but based on recent history with the NMB that's most likely wishful thinking.
In the mean time *****ing about first year pay anywhere is pointless. It's always been low the first year, everywhere.

That's ridiculous.
Frontier is a great place to work.
The pay needs to get straightened out and it will. It's going to take time and a unified effort from the pilot group. Nothing more, nothing less, that's the same **** that's been going since the beginning of the airline industry.
Based on what was posted above you need to eliminate DAL and SWA from your job search also, they're dealing with the same pay issues.

And btw...1st year pay at UAL is better than our year 4 FO.

Get a grip man..are you kidding me?? Frontier is a great place to work, and then your next post mentions that we'll need a strike to fix what's broken?? That doesn't sound great at all. The DAL and SWA retirement and healthcare packages alone are worth thousands more per year than the crap we have, possibly tens of thousands. But keep drinking that "Frontier is great" KoolAid. Keep shutting one down exactly 120 seconds after you land, keep talking non-stop to passengers, keep carrying bags, and keep the faith man. Frontier rocks!! Puhhhhh-leeez
And btw...1st year pay at UAL is better than our year 4 FO.

That is the environment that you are negotiating in and if you believe you deserve parity in the industry THAT is where the bar is set. When the MEC pickets in DEN I will be there - in unity.

I start next month, and the rumor is 24 in that class. We are being told to bring our signed training contracts day one.

I don't fault anyone for coming here. There are aviation jobs much, much worse than F9. That being said, do yourselves and your new co-workers a favor and show up ready to fight on day one.

I have virtually no contacts in the ground school end of the training department, so I've got no one to ask for accurate info.
Congrats on the class date Pulled, but keep your resume updated at the better airlines. You really don't want to be here for an entire career.

UA 401K is our most valuable part of our contract IMO. 16% PRETAX gross gets payed by the airline into our account - not a match. So if I do NOTHING 16% per month goes in without a dime out of my pocket. Stretch that over career earning potential and the figure gets pretty big.
