Every time I've operated out of SAT we have been over 90%.
Im @ Spirit. Live in SAT :| I dont know why we ignore SAT and AUS... EXCEPT the fact that NK doesn't overlap routes with you guys. (Hmmm). I've always said, bizarrely there are only about 35 direct destinations from SAT, so we wouldn't even have to compete with the other guys. SAT is the 7th largest city in the US, not far behind PHX and PHL for # 5, and I'm sure we are growing faster.. yet we are opening Columbus and Richmond?? Just bizarre. AA flies 321s between DFW and SAT, and we cant even fly a 319. At Thanksgiving, a guest @ my mom's said she went SAT to SAN on F9. I said surely it was a different airline. Looked it up. Wow. SAN, even Colorado Springs direct! Makes me wanna go visit my alma mater.

I would like to ask if the 2500 tt and the 500 pic are mandatory numbers. I noticed the website says

Qualifications:
PREFERRED Minimums: etc

I have about 1700 hours on the bus but not 2500 tt neither the 500 pic
Also got back to flying for a regional now the CRJ
Do you guys think Frontier would consider someone with my situation ? I used to fly the bus in Europe and looking for a place to close my career with. Frontier looks pretty good for me .

Thank you for any comment

Definitely apply. I am not up on what they are looking for, but I would think anyone w/ 1700 hrs Airbus time would be great.

They have always been firm on the posted minimums, but times are changing. I don't see the harm in applying/updating. Chances are you won't get selected for an interview being below the mins, but I'd say its worth a shot.

I can't remember if the minimums were listed as "PREFERRED" when I applied a few years ago. If they are considering applicants with less than the posted mins, this is an interesting new development. Good luck!

I'm almost positive that the "preferred" has been a recent addition. I recently flew with a line check airman who claims he did IOE on a guy that was below those numbers - slightly.

There are people who get hired who don’t meet the preferred Mins. I’ve heard of a few getting picked up around 2100-2300 TT.

I hope it's gone the way of PJ and the dodo bird! If not, our new CP has already gone down a notch in my book.

I doubt the CP has any say on this. I'm sure that decision comes from someone higher up. Don't put that on him.
