What does that mean?? You can be the lowest paid airbus pilot in the country and go on much, much longer than indigo?? They’ll gladly pay you sh!t wages forever... and then you can vote no because there isn’t gonna be 100% retro... there isn’t gonna be an improvement in the Ltd... they’ve already agreed to per diem that is $.25 below spirit... we have ZERO leverage... people keep showing up to class... people keep flying incentivized trips... we’re basically praying that the NMB does the right thing and releases us... that’s our only leverage and it isn’t even close to a certainty... so whether you like it or not, you’re gonna have to go much, much longer

If people stop showing up for class, that creates some leverage. Because then they can’t fill seats to do all the flying they have coming up. But yeah, all you new hires, can’t wait for you to get here and further delay us getting a new contract. Just sayin.

If a guy or gal decides to come to F9, i don’t begrudge them. Seneca you were a new hire once, as was I a few years back. It’s not their fault. We’ve all heard that it’s getting harder and harder to fill classes. The only people to blame are management for having their heads in the sand during the most lucrative time ever at F9. Our day is coming, let’s not throw new hires under the bus.

1)Start over at another regional and eventually get whipsawed again.
2)Find another line of work.
3)Roll the dice by coming to F9 and jumping ship at the first opportunity if things here don’t work out.
Instead of punching down and blaming our new hires for trying to make the best of a bad situation why don’t you direct your anger upward where it belongs.

I don’t think anyone is “blaming” new hires... I’ve said before everyone has a reason for coming here and I’ve also previously stated that when they fly with captains, the furthest it MIGHT go is, “why would you come here?!” then everyone would do their job and that’d be the end of that... I’d rather be at a highly profitable company than a dying regional too... I was once that new hire... I went from $82/hr to $37/hr... I had high hopes and those hopes aren’t dead yet...
I’m at $132/hr now and I’d be at $90 something at my regional if I had stayed... I’m half way up the seniority list in 4 years...
if this place grows and gets the contract we’ve EARNED, then we could all have a very lucrative career with a pretty decent QOL... the fact remains however, that one of the very few things that would drive a TA much faster is a$$es in classes and as long as those classes remain filled and the flights go out Frontier on time (between 30 min to 9 hours late), it’s a detriment to our goal... again, I’d never give a new hire grief and I don’t think almost anyone here would, either
