Totally missed my point. NWsteeringArmer said the only leverage we had was if the NMB releases us. Not true. There is a reason our union has been inferring at the top of their lungs, do not come here! If no new hires show up to fill the seats they need for the upcoming increase in flying, it creates lots of leverage for us. Heck, the company has already given up the stupid training contract, and they have tried to pay for new hire hotels. They can’t do that though because it’s a change in status quo. Yes, I was once a new hire here, like all of us. But tell me when it has ever happened before when a union is basically telling people not to come here? I understand everyone has their own reasons for wanting to come here, but the more bodies that fill new hire seats, the longer it is before a new contract is achieved. That’s fact.

I believe everyone understands where you are coming from, however as others have stated you will never have candidates stop showing up at F9 due to the absolute lack of qol issues at the regional level. Not to mention if you don't have a flow to AA, or coming from the military, or have a number of other influential factors adding to the attractiveness of you being on the roster at Delta, United, or SW the only places you have left are F9, and Spirit. This leaves you with a giant problem of a never ending stream of those that can't get on with a higher ranking airline now or never. Its unfortunate that your management is punishing you and every other pilot on the seniority list because of extenuating circumstances, however you also chose to go there when it wasn't that great for those hired before you and you knew what you were getting into. Educating those that come after you should be your goal and not attacking (not saying you did or are) or blaming those that come after you for the bed you sleep in being messy.
I hope you get what is rightfully deserved in this next TA presented to you, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Good luck

The fact is that people will continue to show up to class regardless of what is happening with negotiations. It would be extremely careless for someone to show up to an interview not knowing the current state of affairs at Frontier, and even if they don’t have all the details, at least they get the gist. However, the big difference is that these new hires haven’t experienced it like all of you. They haven’t lived through it, or flown with all of you to hear the frustrations, or heard the complete history. And quite honestly I bet they can sympathize, but they certainly can’t empathize. I bet 99% of the new hires are showing up hoping to get some narrow body time to improve their chances at the legacies. That’s my exact story, having left recently after 18 months at Frontier. They don’t care about what you’ve been through with Indigo just like you don’t care about their reasons for coming. You’re looking out for you and they are looking out for them. So getting frustrated with their presence wouldn’t be all that productive, however strength in numbers would be. Communicate and educate them when you get the chance. I agree if people didnt show for classes that would be great leverage. But there really isn’t a way to dissuade someone with a current airlineapps account who has an Airbus type rating being dangled in front of their face. This isn’t their forever job, like it wasn’t mine, but it IS yours. Yuge difference.

For all of you saying if new hires stop coming over it will help us get a new contract. You know what would help even more? all of you quitting. It is a crappy statements telling someone not to come here for your benefit. Easy to say it now that YOU are here. Quit and go to a regional. Show management.
