Thoughts about CURRENT GoJet

Go Jet
My situation is a bit like yours. I'm unemployed, with a little free lance instructing, and flying for the Civil Air Patrol. I left my last job due to a death in the family and I didn't have travel benefits. Money wasn't a problem for me, because I had savings, and I can day trade enough to survive. I'm debt free, clean record.. etc.
Anyway, about a year ago, I went to the career fair in Dallas Tx. I never heard of them, but gave the recruiter a resume. 2 days later I was offered an interview. The letter said to call in 1 month. So I did. She said, call next month, it's slow now. I called EVERY month for a year. In May, she said that the chief pilot was looking at my resume. She put me on hold, and then told me I was declined an interview. I told her I was already offered one. What's the deal? She gave me the chief pilots email address, and I wrote him. No reply. My guess is it's the unemployment. Anyway, I've been to interviews in the past, didn't get the job(due to my own inadequacies), but still felt good about those companies. This is the first time I've felt angry at an airline before. Now I know all about the scab stories. Seems I dodged a bullet.
Anyway, you could probably go, and be happy. isten to what people say... But don't let make the decision for you. In this economy, if you get an interview, go. You already have friends there(I think I read,) so you got an 'in.' But I don't think I will ever bother with that company again.

Have you seen that Dave Chappelle skit about the Black White Supremacist? Your arguments against Gojet make just as much sense.

You are not making any sense. You interviewed there. That makes you someone that wants to be at Gojet. What were you going to say, if they offered you a class date? I'll think about it??

get out and move on?
Thats right go ahead and go there. There are 1437 UA pilots who know where some of their flying went when they were furloughed. Being willing to fly 70 seaters for 50 seat rates is part of the problem with this industry.
As long as management can continue to outsource larger and larger aircraft to pilots willing to work for less and less there will not be any mainline job creation and you will have a long career at GO Jet.
There are many older mainline pilots who do not understand, or perhaps do not care, what a cesspool the regional side of the business is. But many of the more junior pilots do. As things begin to move more and more of these junior pilots will end up on the hiring boards in time. Then you may be asked in an interview what your motivation for working at Go Jet was.

Those of you who applied at GoJet, did you send your resume to the address on their website? I applied a few months back and never heard back. Could it be possible that I suck that much???

Thank you to those GoJet and TSA pilots and others who sent me honest and informative PMs; I appreciate it.
