The DR is not getting very good publicity. People are canceling their vacations there.

Well... Marty loved expanding to the DR, with him gone now, that might change...... or not.
Our upcoming new routes on the blewjet web site are pretty bare, compared to Spirit,’Frontier etc

It's high time we redeploy our assets to become a "REAL AIRLINE." This means hourly service to Lafayette Louisiana, Greensboro and Branson. We'll easily make $150/flight. And best of all, my Aunt Bev will be able to travel on us.

Or, you know, become an airline with a useable domestic network. One where people don't have to connect through JFK and only JFK to get anywhere on us. There are many (most) major US cities where no one has even heard of JetBlue. But Haiti... we are a powerhouse there. :rolleyes

JetBlue is an O&D airline.
You’re right there are directions besides what we do, but what we do has worked well.
I agree, maybe We’ve painted ourselves into a corner. But what we do isn’t bad.

Do you ever look at your in-range print-out and see the list of connections a mile long? JB is a hybrid of hub-spoke/P2P.

I was just going to say this. Whenever I see people go MSY-JFK-JAX, or DTW-BOS-DFW, seems a lot closer to hub-and-spoke than point-to-point to me. Think we had someone go DTW-BOS-SFO on a recent flight. Pretty silly.

Point to point works when you lack size and a network. I mean how is an airline with 3 destinations gonna do hub and spoke? At some size, and I'd argue we have crossed it, you leave money on the table by not connecting effectively.
There are only so many people in BOS. What good are frequent flyer miles on B6 when you live in DCA? It's a MASSIVE pain in the rear to get around on us.
We aren't catering to NYC. We are excluding everyone else.
The reason DAL is able to operate such a massive operation in ATL is because very few people on those flights started in ATL.
