Seriously though, why did the MEC even mention PS in their comms if they weren’t gonna hold out for it?

I had a delta widebody fo in my jumpseat a few years ago. He had been on property for quite some time. He was flying home after buying an airplane with his profit sharing check that year. And yet here we have the usual suspects, saying just how awesome and fair this is. Without profit sharing we come up short of Alaska, not even getting close to Delta. Delta is predicting a record profit for 2023. Our NC went after 3 things and came back with two. Hard f-ing no.

I guarantee this met the criteria for the survey. Do you know how many pilots I’ve spoken with that had 15% expected raise on their survey…and no profit sharing? I had 25% and guys are like “sh!t I wish I would put more”. And full disclosure, I didn’t put PS because I didn’t even realize it was on the table until the union had it as part of their negotiations (kudos to them btw). I thought we were just going for interm pay raise to get us to the JCBA? Which it is. So in essence, the union did exactly what the polling data told them to do.

I strongly encourage you to go to Delta. Your personality would fit right in and you can go roll around in your money like scrooge mcduck. Only a real rectum of a human would come out trying to be personally insulting to someone like you are to me. All I did was state my opinion, god forbid it differ in any way from yours. Right here, bud.

While no PS is disappointing, these are pretty solid gains. The rates everyone sees are the floor without any snap up clause in effect. While that may seem obvious to many, it seems to be lost on a few…
