For May, I had a 3 day on the 3rd-5th and then wasn稚 used for the next two blocks of 4 days. Got hit again with another 3 day that started yesterday so I値l be up to 31.2 credit for the month. I don稚 do anything special or try to game the system, there just always seems to be more guys with less credit than me than there are trips that need to be assigned. Also, plenty of guys on CKS have been getting stuff on the DRO that I was certain I was going to get. 5 months into the year and I finally broke 100 credit total.
You're forgetting the 1st rule of Reserve Club.

Was thinking the same thing. I now have a dent in my forehead.

Wanted to get insight on what RSV for a commuter is like at JBU for a NH. Ideally would want the 190 out of training to hold a line quicker. How many days off? Is LCR a realistic option soon after OE? Fairly easy to move around days and get days off you want? Any info helps. Only been at one airline so its all I know. Thanks in advance.

I can only speak for jfk 320. 13/14 days off depending on the month. Getting days off that you need is pretty easy once you're slightly more senior, especially if you bid SCR. Moving days around is a ****ing joke

Keep in mind CA reserve and FO reserve (at least in JFK) might be very different in terms of usage. Seems like CA open time gets picked up at much higher rates than FO, being relatively over-staffed perhaps? FO side seems much more difficult to move days, gets days off or do much of anything.

I知 a 7 year Captain at a regional, making pretty good money, and living 15 minutes away from base. If I jump to Jet Blue, I値l take a major financial hit the first year, plus give up my 15 minute commute to work. Not sure I知 willing to make all these sacrifices, especially since I have a wife, a kid and a mortgage to pay.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. Stay at a regional and make a career there. The Commair career plan if you will.

I知 saving this post. Let us know when you hit 65 how many regrets you have. Short term pain, long term gain.
