Some Jetblue pilot from 4 years ago looking at the B/E/S offered on this bid wouldn’t even recognize this place. Kind of crazy the amount of change that has taken place looking at it.

Does anyone have a guess on how senior this EWR base will go?

Nope. Smallish though, could go either way. I’ve flown with several guys in both seats from PA and NJ who will likely bid it. If only we could do a couple mock bids to get an idea.

They basically created a reserve base.
I can’t see myself bidding it. I bid 77% in JFK with a decent line…
no way do I see that happening with 41 people in EWR in June.

Solid numbers, I was expecting less. Looks like the A220 should be available to new-hires I’m guessing soon. As big of a train wreck this summer has been operationally, rolling out the A220 has been a pleasant surprise. Wouldn’t surprise me if they try and move up some of those future orders based on todays numbers.

So, to make sure I’m reading this right, 12/2/2022 effective date, 4,522 target active pilots, plus 302 offline pilots, means the seniority list size target by end of 2022 is 4,824? Yowza

Looks like the ALPA scheduling committee made the same error I did looking at it based on their email they just sent out.

I also calculate total vacancies as more than the number they cited.

Doesn’t look like there are any net upgrades in the 320, just 190 and 220.

The EWR Captain slots are all “displacements” from the JFK 320 Captain slots.

All the other 320 bases are roughly net zero for 320 Captains.
