Yep and then it only requires a "sorry" email.

We do get our schedules very early compared to other airlines. A contractually timeline with penalties would be nice in the CBA. Enforceable language to prevent runs, reruns, and more reruns is what is really important going forward though.

Even after that we've had them say "Wait, oops, that's not your schedule."

You can be 2 mins late... what's the cutoff for checkin 10 mins?

He is talking about getting to the gate. No leeway there.

Many gate agents lose their minds and give you an earful if you show up <45 min. This OTP program with financial incentives for gate agents has had some very serious negative side effects.

I know. This isn't new for me. Been showing up at the last exact minute for 20 years. Been preached to by my father my entire life not to give one extra minute of your life to work.

I agree! The OTP program is ridiculous. Some agents take it personal when I realize at 14 min before departure I need to pee. I just chuckle and take my time. I am sure we leave people behind all the time at the gate and since we clean the bathrooms as people are deplaning I am not at all surprised we lost the precious JD Power. oh well...

Don't ever let a gate agent give you an earful.

Completely agree. Tell them to "talk to the hand."
