I remember seeing that, but the hotel I have is different than the one in the email. Def still better than the FP we used to stay in. Was just wondering if there was another email stating the change of all-inclusives from one to another

That PUJ hotel was terrible. The cheapest all inclusive spot in the entire world and where is JB?? At the hotel airport.

I never minded helping the Thomas Cook girls evade those harmful UVA/B rays at the airport hotel. Or hit the market right next door.

37 pilots have departed the pattern this year.

Maybe our culture is so good it's keeping people here??

Bwahahaha! No I Keed I Keed

Seriously though. Did the others slow hiring or what?

I think is a combination of things. The Big 3 have flowthrough programs filling larger and larger % of newhire slots, additionally the JB onboarding process is so long that the ones who actually wait it out are ones who passed up the Big 3 already. Also, I think the hiring dept has fine tuned the picking process to select those who are most likely to stay here.

I don't think we are likely to see an attrition problem here, but we are going to see an attraction problem soon.

I agree with some of this. I know I will get attacked for this statement but there are many that we do not hire here that other majors have no problem taking since it is more of a numbers game to them and filling classes. Agreed with the time from interview to class and have no problem with it since classes vary and we have no probation.

Does that mean we aren't hiring high quality candidates? Or that the highest quality candidates aren't getting hired because you all are afraid of retaining them when legacies/FDX/UPS call them? Or are we not even getting apps from the top tier guys because we aren't a viable career (or even short term job) option?

From your recruiter standpoint, why would any decently qualified pilot, military or civilian, want to come to JetBlue, other than someone who lives close to BOS? There are better options for every other base that pay more and have better short and long term seniority/upgrade outlooks, not to mention 20-40% better pay not even taking seniority/retirements into consideration. The only thing I can think is that they aren't qualified enough to get on with one of the aforementioned carriers, then get stuck or comfortable enough here and stay. Why say you?

So B6 has higher standards? That's great news to those of us trying to leave. I guess the big 3 will gladly take any of us. This is positive news HB.😉

Why are any of us here at JB? I got hired because I lived in BOS and had zero PIC turbine. Win-win for JB, and it has been a win for me as well. Now I'm too lazy to leave. Even if I could get hired at DL I wouldn't go. Maybe that makes me lazy and dumb. Another win-win for JB.
