Ah, such a bummer you haven't actually lived a good life in the airlines to see the absurdity of this statement.

I disagree with this statement totally. You have no idea how much better it is when you work at a company that isn't constantly trying to screw you. Even with a 4 month furlough I have no regrets making the move. Of course I'd be on the street next month at TSA too.

<yawn!> I had this WONDERFUL dream where a person on one side of the GoJet issue convinced some one on the other side that they were right...I think I was also married to Heidi Klum..it was a nice dream....the highlight of course being the end of the GoJet argument....

You had no idea. When you were at TSA, you had nothing to compare it to, so as your first airline(otherwise you would agree with me), you were shocked that a highly qualified pilot like yourself was treated like dirt as a junior person. Of course things magically become better at the other regional where you gave up seniority and got back on reserve, in order to make yourself feel better. I came from a small dbag pt135 operator prior to TSA and as far as I was concerned, I was at a serious airline and was never once screwed and everyone that dealt with my QOL at TSA was very nice. You were at TSA back when they had no pilots and were junioring people left and right, that is not them trying to screw you, it's them trying to run an airline. Other than the somewhat good old boys thing they've got going around managment pilots, TSA is a normal airline and the ERJ was a blast to fly. Not worth lateraling. I would understand lateraling from places like Great Lakes or Gulstream or any other pt135 commuter though.

Just my opinion. From talking to the CAs that stuck it out and upgraded rather than latteraling to RAH or Xjet said it was the best decision they could have made. Their buddies were stuck on reserve or still as FOs.

I don't think you understood what I was saying. Let me try to describe it to you in simple terms.

TSA to other regional = pointless, TSA to Major = worthwhile

Amazingly, I never sat reserve until I got recalled from furlough. 16 days off a month was average where I never had more than min at TSA. In fact I had more days at home despite commuting to a base with no commutable trips.

Never had an issue with scheduling here. Never had an issue with MX. I could keep going. I dealt with a lot of part 135 ops in my day and have a lot more experience in this industry outside of the flying part than many going to their first regional. I know there are worse out there, however in the airline world working for Hulie is pretty low on the list. I flew with a lot of great people while there and don't regret going there after two years of instructing. I also don't regret leaving for RAH. Defending TSA is kind of like battered wife syndrome. I don't know of anybody who's left for elsewhere who feels different than I do.

The fast upgrade would have been great however all of those fast upgrades have been downgraded/displaced and they're getting close to getting furloughed too.

Oh, and for the furlough part, I would have been in the March round and probably not have any hope of returning. I hope you don't have to go through it like my friends from my class are at the moment.

If they went to another regional flying the same or equal type equipment and pay, they kind of have to or else it would be stupid. Whatever floats your boat.

After the second year it's not equal. FO pay and captain pay for that matter are much better here.
