T, revisiting the SLI can be done in a number of ways without directly addressing it. Look at the C20 resolution from RW that asked for extra DC for the former north 2007 hires. There has also been talk of actuarial modifications to former north retirement assumptions to "equalize" benefits north v. south. Neither of those two made any headway, but the idea is there. There will always be people that feel like they got the shorted in an SLI outcome, and look for ways to improve their position. The DPA leadership is mostly former N. They seem to be the most dissatisfied with the SLI.
It's a good sign.

You know what Carl, it is precisely this kind of circle jerk that keeps me mostly away from this thread, and not surprisingly, disinterested in DPA. You have so much hate and vitriol in your heart for anything ALPA that all you can see is ANYTHING else regardless of merits or the dysfunction of DPA. Maybe I am a little over the top in this issue, but I am in single A ball, and you are in Yankee stadium when it comes to being out there. At least I can admit it. So I'll give you the last word since there is obviously no way that you would EVER believe anything I have to say. I certainly believe nothing you say anymore.

Interesting that you see it that way. I see it as reinforcement for the feelings I have toward Tim Caplinger and the DPA. One way or another, Seeham has infected that organization. Pathetic.

From the beginning here I've posted either actual facts, or my opinions based on facts. This in response to a coordinated attack by members of our MEC and their unelected bureaucrats. If you want to call that a "circle jerk", that's your right. But it sounds to me like you're a person who hates to be questioned or challenged.
Pointing out facts about our union is not hate, nor is it trying to divide the pilot group. Facts stand on their own merits. They may be painful to hear, but they don't go away.

Union guys have a significantly higher workload and literally another job on top of their flying job. FPL is absolutely necessary for the union to function normally, and as such for the pilot group to be able to function normally. So FPL is paid for...
