Jetblue movement...

Don't bother!
MGMT tell you they can't afford to compensate you competitively and you believe it. So, just you go with that.
Just ignore the recent record profits and get on with working at a 30% discount.
Your claim that the best way to increase compensation is to gain seniority rather than negotiating a contract really speaks volumes about your naivety.
Seriously dude. There are MAJOR AIRLINE PILOTS on these forums who have NEGOTIATED CONTRACTS.
Way to make a complete fool of yourself!

The larger carriers would also have to decide whether to operate JetBlue as a wholly owned unit, retaining its low-cost culture, or absorb it into their brand

Bluedriver, don't fret these guys. Many are aligned with your views and won't ultimately go CBA. We hope...
I always try to get over the nasty things they say and I always do a second later.
The company will put out changes to pay, scope, and benefits timed to quell momentum and defeat the current drive... again. Personally I think the company is all over this idea. It always builds up this way as the cards are collected here. Once the OC is poised to strike, the company will lay out their proposals.
And then we'll see. Personally my money is on the company.

Hey coolhandjob and alv, do you deny the company guided for lower growth in the Q2 investor call, and that they said it was DIRECTLY caused by increased mx expenses?

Care to detail the changes to pay, scope, and benefits they put out during the last drive?
Below average pay and benefits is the norm at JB and no prior drive changed this!

What does taking a risk with an unproven airframe have to do with your compensation?
Are Pilots to be the fall guys?
