Spirit Pilots Request Mediation

I'm focused on making this place a career and don't lose any sleep over what I could have/should have done.
Life's too short, F---- it.
Slightly jealous my upgrade sim partner is off to Delta but happy for him or anyone that leaves for greener pastures

I think he's trying to say that it's kinda dumb that you tell everyone not to come here and that they aren't allowed to compare it to their regional when you've made the same choice and are still here. I'll admit it... this place is better than my old regional. But just because I realize that it doesn't make me not want to fight and get an industry leading contract. I'm also not going around telling everyone on the internet that they are morons for wanting to come here when I made the same choice that they did...

How do you know? I'd say it's the case for most people that it's better than their regional and/or can't get hired elsewhere and/or their acmi carrier got shut down. For most people, they don't come here if they had an offer from the legacies, and once they've been here for a few years, you start hearing them say," oh I could have gone to United, but Spirit works best for me."

Who cares what it was like at your last regional, this is now and we need a contract. I heard today three more people resigned and that they're doing interviews now at job fairs. The next meltdown is coming, just wait for it.

Everytime I go to work it seems like I'm experiencing a mini-meltdown. Last two trips ended with repos and a bunch of stranded passengers.

Spirit had 4 canceled flights today (<1%) and 11% were late
Southwest and JBLU had a higher cancel percentage and equal late percentage
Yesterday Spirit had 2 flights canceled (<.5%) and 9% were late
All Legacy carriers had a higher cancel percentage and higher or close to equal late percentage.
Our attrition is so low that the MEC can't even use it as leverage against the company by saying "you better pay us more, pilots are leaving." Pilots are not leaving in droves or even close to the numbers speculated on the forums and in flight decks. This is straight from the MEC Chair at the 77 LEC meeting.
Bendo was on his podcast last week, gloating about how his A14 on-time arrival is the highest it has ever been.
Bottom line is currently the attrition is not there and the meltdown is not only not here, the operation is running better, according to the metrics, than it has in a long time.
But its sure fun to act like it is.....that's what forums are for...
