Makes me wonder why a company would give a pay raise in the first place.
I have thought this for a long time as well, however, I really am starting to think that if they don't pull their heads out of their a$$es and pay the pilot group we will start seeing major attrition and very little interest in people coming here. Look at Republic. They stalled for the better part of a decade and all it bought them was a few good years in the short term, and then huge amounts of cancellations, shrinkage, and a bankruptcy. I (huge pessimist by nature) actually see this happening here in only a couple years. Add that to the probable Frontier merger (you know the ONLY narrow body operator in the country who pays at all less than us if Allegiant votes in their TA) and we will have major problems in the near future. They need to start attracting pilots who will want to be here for their careers, not just stop in for a Type which is pretty much who we are getting now, and the only way to do that is to come to the table with meaningful improvements.

Ive wanted Spirit for a long time, but now I know with the way they treat employees and wont even pay a decent wage compared to the rest and no upgrade in sight im glad i never got called... now that I upgraded at my regional and getting PIC and have volunteer work on my resume i would tell SF if she called, thanks but no thanks... with the retirements and growth at the BIG 3, I am ok hanging out for another year until I get an interview at Yaaaanited!!

Good for you! Hopefully most applicants will be thinking this way! Attrition seems to be gaining steam and the quality of applicants is starting to drop.

Oh, yes I made the choice to come here.. Flame away! I'm also fighting the good fight for a decent contract! Hopefully we can continue the show of force we brought to Houston throughout the next few years together as one group and stop this bs of finger pointing and why did you go to Spirit, you knew the wages sucked donkey d I C K!

All things Low Tier.

Jyri will tell guys at the job fair in Dallas that, "if you want to shop at Publix, then you better go to United."

People here really love their work rules but I think it's because most of them are freight retreads or corporate guy and don't know what's really out there. My regional had some better, some worse rules. But it's not amazing here. Anyone who says differently is clueless. If you're a regional captain, under 40 and have all the basic boxes checked I'd sit tight just my opinion.
This place is turning into a bunch of rats fleeing a sinking ship. While NK may not actually sink it's more obvious every day to everyone that it's time to go.
Ten years from now who do you think will still be around? All the alphabet regionals or NK?
