Unless you're at one of the real sh!tbag regionals NK is not necessarily better. I came from one of the "good" ones and I can tell you there are only 2 reasons to come here. 1) you're a new Fo at a regional and 2) you commute and NK has a base where you live. Even the second one is questionable.
People here really love their work rules but I think it's because most of them are freight retreads or corporate guy and don't know what's really out there. My regional had some better, some worse rules. But it's not amazing here. Anyone who says differently is clueless. If you're a regional captain, under 40 and have all the basic boxes checked I'd sit tight just my opinion.
This place is turning into a bunch of rats fleeing a sinking ship. While NK may not actually sink it's more obvious every day to everyone that it's time to go.

I did this exact same thing a couple years ago, and watch our fleet go from 140+ CRJ-200 down to about 25. While many pilots were getting downgraded. The problem is you never know what United, Delta, or American is going to do with the regionals.

I think as pilots we are naturally optimist and think we can save any situation.
Just come here expecting to fly with great guys who are happy despite the downsides and a low tier management focused on profit above employee well being.

The thing about a lot of these is that they are allowed contractually. They possibly could have been corrected 6 years ago. Does it surprise anyone that mgmt is taking advantage of a weak contract? Now is our chance to correct it.

Yes, good points for applicants to consider. But look at what you're stepping into. I won't waste your time with talk about indefinite upgrade times and 50%+ below market pay rates.

We owe it to people to give them an unvarnished look at this place.
Keeping blinders on and whistling past the graveyard won't make this place a career airline I would like it to become.

Holy cow man! I just said everyone here is great and happy. Why is pointing out the warts such a bad thing in your world?

Every day that goes by without a contract is another day of lost additional compensation.
