You are right about size , and the ability to pick up overtime in the form of trips ( if they are available) in the 121 world but we are talking about new hires here who by the luck of the draw are landing or not landing in busy fleets, it is what it is , and not a permanent condition. So far every , and I mean every pilot I have flown with in the XL likes the IBI , YMMV of course. I completely respect the opinions of those who feel otherwise.
I am sure everyone in the XL is happy, they were getting their butts kicked, now they get more money for it. It will wear off like the 2015 CBA did, but at least you are getting closer to what you deserve now.

I’d like to know what the fleet averages are by tour. Union won’t give anyone that info. 350/Lat crews have told me 30 hrs. Phenom is doing about 18 hrs on avg. How is it fair that 2 new-hires in the same class will be getting paid drastically different amounts? EOY that’s about $32k difference!
Of course, the union says the fleet averages are the same.

Not much is.
How do you propose they fix it?

Fleet assignment doesn’t guarantee bigger paychecks. I’m in the 350 (considered one of the busier and more reliable fleets) and I’ve yet to break 20 hours in a tour. So yeah, I get a few bucks here and there, but it’s a complete crap shoot as to how much you will be making on your next tour. I’ve spoken to some 350 drivers getting 38 hrs in a week! Yet here I am, barely able to crack half that number. Granted, my work weeks have been on the mellower side with long overnights and short days mixed in.
Every pilot needs to distance themselves from this FDPP as it is entirely out of your control. Enjoy when you get it, but DO NOT rely on it. The only fair part is the more you fly, the more you make....

The union doesn't have flight time data yet. We've been asking for it. We'll get it eventually but might take a little time.

Funny how perspectives change. I used to think 14 hours was a long overnight....
