I have been here for 3 years, and some people have been on the same schedule that they love and haven't sought to change it.
I asked for the 15/13 and finally got it: I would never go back to 8/6. While everyone is supposed to be on the 15/13 at least through IOE, the guy that I am flying with was put on 8/6, so he did 2 IOE rotations instead of just one long one. They just informed him that he can have the 15/13, so he is elated and will be easy to deal with on his last day tomorrow, LOL.

If I can get the schedule i want, thats a huge retention piece....cough cough, is management looking? cough cough....Really excited to get started just alot of questions unanswered with the FAQs on the website.

I think it’s a way to give a small raise without the taxes… I also think it’s to reduce the amount of crew meals and encourage the pilots to source their own food during the day.

Nothing more then a sign the industry is improving tremendously and this company is trying to keep people from leaving. Grapevine mentioned some 30 pilots quit during the previous two or three months including those hired but quit before sim training. Another poster mentioned it in another thread but pay isn’t everything for a pilots qol at work and at home. This company needs to do more but sadly wont.

FE pay increase
Everyone in the aviation industry is working to comprehend the need for aircrews and aircraft post-pandemic. Many companies will/are experiencing attrition as other opportunities arise. Everyone who flies professionally has to evaluate for themselves what best fits their needs to balance a good QOL that works for them and a still provides a good paycheck. Not everyone wants the kind of schedule that a 135 operator like FE uses, but some enjoy it. At least they are taking steps to retain pilots they have as well as attracting new pilots. We'll see if they take additional future steps to retain/attract talent.

Still no tip re-imbursments, recommend a hotel van, and no rental car? FE could of been great but management has decided a revolving door is the way they like it even back for seagrave aviation. I personally know 20+ pilots who have left their and they all say they would rather leave aviation than go back to work for them.

Which schedule did you pick?
Yeah i hear mixed reviews about both. On one hand, you have a load of time off, on the other, you're away 15 days.
If I can get the schedule i want, thats a huge retention piece....cough cough, is management looking? cough cough....Really excited to get started just alot of questions unanswered with the FAQs on the website.

Which schedule did you end up picking/requesting? Also, did anyone answer your FAQ questions?
