Default Best company, or the one to avoid?

I know any job may be a good job, and a paycheck is money in the bank, but in guys' experience, is there one company that stands out as excellent to be with?

Likewise, is there one out there that is an "avoid at all costs"? Maybe due to culture or safety issues?

1st or 2nd hand knowledge accepted

Thanks.

The best is generally considered to be L3 but mostly because of contract stability and business class travel. But contracting is contracting and they’re all generally the same. Go with who hires you, cause L3 will not be hiring for some time.

I know L3 is taking a hit because of funding issues with the customer. Does anyone know if Liedos/CACI/Dynamic are in the same boat?

Word on the street is that Dynamic has instituted a hiring freeze for now. Not sure about the other players.

CACI is hiring but it's my understanding CRC will be closed for some time. With any luck this stop movement will expire this month.

MAG just basically cold called me off of an application in 2017 before Delta hired me.

I think that means they are hiring. I'm probably gonna throw my hat in the ring. I'm on mil leave at the moment but furlough would be cranking up right a out the time I come off orders.

There are a few up and hiring. The *******s of the world are still in need of being watched. These companies are more or less affected by government budgets more than anything else. COVID19 isn't bankrupting these contracts. It is just making it hard to travel. I have never been so happy to be doing contract work. I always thought it could go away in an instant. It appears the airlines can too. Even though the Afghan war is nearing its end, Africa is ripe for future contracts. We haven't even scratched the surface there. L3 will hire again in time.
