Looking for up to date info on what bases new hires are getting out of training. Also is commuting to base possible?

Commuting is possible, you’ll have CASS and KCM. New hires pick a preferred base, if there’s an opening, you’ll get it, otherwise they’ll give you options. FO opportunities are scarce. If you meet part 135 captain minimums, you’ll be hired tomorrow.

My buddy is a recent new hire and he got Denver out of training and commuted from Dallas then got a base transfer a few months after that to dfw.

Captains will probably get whatever base they ask for. However, they’ll be sent to cover flying at other bases more times in a month than their assigned bases. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. It’s just the way things are at 4B right now.

I can’t opine on SIC bases because we may be somewhat over-staffed on FO’s at the present time

Since I was placed in the pilot pool on "shortlist", would I need to contact the recruiter to opt in for the next available classes or would I hear back based on the 3-month interval I was given? Anyone else in the pool?

You can email your last point of contact with this question. Probably your technical interviewer. In my experience, if/when they want you, they'll call you. If you are an FO applicant, be aware there are far more apps than slots. So you may have to wait a bit for a class. If for a CA slot, you won't have to wait long. When I was there, classes were run once a month. Usually beginning the first Monday of each month.

Interview

Could somebody tell about interview process just curious how long it take I had HR interveiw waiting on Technical portion. Then If Hired how often are training classes. Thanks for any input

Hiring at Boutique

What is going on inside Boutique? I hear they want to hire high time FOs, but my captain buddies inside Boutique can't figure out who is in charge of interviewing and hiring. One of their interviewers told me to provide dates and times I could interview, and I then never got contacted. I'm almost at Street Captain quals.
