Sounds like what a lot of private/corporate operations have done during these times.
My friends at United are either on VLOA (just getting heads start expecting the full furlough in Oct) or sitting at home at 2/3rds pay.

The key will be whether they return to the previous pay scales when the rest of the industry recovers as well, or will the industry management try to keep these pay scales lower even as demand for business starts to recover?

The laws of Supply and Demand will apply. If qualified pilots are still beating their door down for $35k, it will likely stand.

In speaking with some of my former colleagues, it would seem that management has no plans to return the pay anytime soon. Someone said they might actually lower it further. Quite a few PC-12 operators out there, some may be hiring again soon. I’ve seen plenty of part 91 gigs popping up again looking for PC-12 pilots too.

This might be a far stretch given what’s going on, but is Boutique hiring FOs? I applied in anticipation for my school’s last day at the end of July. I started a bit early, but figured I’d they are hiring then I’ll be in the front of the line?

from what I know, if you apply today, you’ll be behind probably hundreds of CFI/CFII/MEI 1200 hr plus candidates as well as fully type rated regional pilots looking for a job.
