Our flow to American has officially increased. We will be sending 6 pilots to AA starting with the September new hire class there.

Our flow will continue to increase with each 62 captains that are added to the seniority list.

225 pilots have been awarded upgrade to Captain so far this year.

This is a "no interview" flow. Pilots are selected in seniority order and are given class dates at AA.

I am sure it does not take long to get an idea of the type of food offered near your common gates. Is there enough ground time to find a decent snack to bring back to the aircraft?

Thanks for the information.
25 minute turns with aircraft swapping across four legs per day. Late starts and early finishes or vice versa. Your body will hate you. This is the price to be paid for inefficient scheduling.

A cooler? So I take it that there's no fridge space on those CRJs?

Nor is there guaranteed fridge space in your hotel room as it isn't contractually required so be prepared to make trips to the ice machine. You are also not guaranteed a microwave so it's a hassle.

Its Not that bad. There is almost always a fridge and microwave available in the hotel. But I cannot advocate for packing lunches and dinners enough. Saves 1000s of dollars a year.

I generally pack 2 dinners and sandwiches for everyday plus some snacks or yogurt. Allows me to go out to eat once on a trip and save a ton of money.

Like others have mentioned, I bring a cooler with about two meals worth and healthy snacks. I usually save my cooler food for times when it's not convenient to go get something. That being said, airport food is not that bad nor expensive. You just have to be willing to not stop at the first place that you see. Or better yet, having a good idea of what restaurants are in the hub and even outstations helps for planning on what and when to eat. I don't eat meat or dairy and I make it work just fine. I just end up eating a lot of the same thing many times.

From what I understand, you get 1 week vacation after a year. When do you start getting 2 weeks?
What is the average amount of time you get off with your week and using SAP? Is it possible to have 3 weeks off at once?

There's only 30 CAs on the seniority list with a DOH between Jan '08 and Jan '11. Seeing as how we're flowing guys with late '07 DOH, that number is going to start to come down very soon. My math shows 7.5-8 years for a new hire today.

If all things held constant, maybe. What would you theorize the fleet re-evaluation would do to those numbers? I don't disagree with what you suggest, I just know that the current flow is at 9 years and 10 months.
