I can't imagine a more expensive place in terms of company expenditures than to send a pilot to Copenhaguen for a few weeks. That's one of the most expensive countries out there.

It might be cheaper to send people there as compared to paying them to sit at home for another couple months waiting for sims.

The Jan 5th class just got our sim schedules... A handful only wait a couple weeks from the end of our ground school to sims and the rest of us are about 3.5 to 4 weeks till our sim. Not even a month wait really. Not too bad!

It looks like some begin next week. Seems to be improving.

The major delays at this point don't seem to be sims, but IOE. I passed my checkride two months ago today.

Guys in my class are getting called now, so my vacation should be ending soon.

I have heard they recently promoted 7 people to check airman a few weeks ago so that should have some impact as well.

Our contract says no direct-entry captains. (Street captains).

I haven't had a chance to look over all of the contract yet, I figured I would save that for overnights.

There will not be a need for direct entry captains. We have a lot of pilots from early 2014 that will have their required time shortly. Not to mention the group of Endeavor, and other 121 folks that came in mid year and fall of 2014. That will fill up the classes until the things catch up.
