I don't want to dash anyone's hopes, but I applied to AA the second day the app window was open (Oct 2nd 2013). I have yet to receive a call despite having passed the assessment and having all the boxes checked, except of course the Fighter Pilot and Astronaut check boxes on page number one of their app (or being former mil).

In the mean time I'm a blocking holding FO on the Airbus in Philly...

(joke's on AA). They must cringe when they look at all the people Airways hired that didn't fit their "criteria"!!

It's highly doubtful many commuter guys are going to get into AA without a flow. The flows take up a good majority of the classes and all the others are prior military.

Thanks, appreciate the info.

Had an interview last week. Both me and a buddy of mine who also interviewed said we would be put into a pool until they had a class date for us. Anyone else have this happen to them? They said we were hired, just needed to wait for a class date? It's been almost a week, haven't heard anything.

My buddy interviewed last week and was offered an actual date. Did they give you a date for the "pool"

I interviewed on 2/25 and was offered the April 13th class. They had been offering the April 13th class to interviewees from the previous week as well so I wonder if maybe that class was filled and they're not assigning a class date until the current class is through?

I doubt that. We need a lot of people through some part of 2017...

Could it be that they temporarily didn't have enough bodies to fill a 30-35 seat class and they're waiting for the next week or two of new interviewees to come through before assigning a date? Otherwise it sounds really odd that they'd even mention the word "pool" at a place like PSA.

So I have 1350 total time plus 100 level d sim which counts. PSA recruiter said she would not count any of my sim time, unlike all the other regionals, said I would go into a pool until I have 1450 total time. My buddy though has 2000 and meets all minimums. He was the last to interview that day, they told him they were out of classes for the near future and he was going to the "pool" as well. Very very weird experience and interview. No definitive answer, no concrete reason why they won't count my sim time, neither one of us have heard anything from PSA.

I have an interview coming up this week so I will let you know what they tell me if offered. I have heard at least one guy was offered a May 11th class date so that seems a little weird that they put you in a pool. Does your buddy that has 2000 hrs also have his ATP?
