I know bro. ATP just gets me all fired up. I took my shirt off thinking about it.

The people getting class dates at 1300 hours during the interview phase are current CFIs flying 100 hours per month. Now I get what they're saying...they just want you to have 1450 hours of actual airplane time and unless you're that CFI they're not going to give you a class date if they don't think you'll have those hours by then. Hence why they told you that you were hired contingent that you'd have the hours. I dont think your previous hours or experience matter much at this point. You have to just be ok with their internal requirements. Good news is, you're in, so just go build the time!

There's a place in Helena, MT that has a Cessna 152 for $32/hour wet. That's $18 if you time build with your friend. PM me if you want more info.

She ended with that "I would be hearing from them within the next few days and from that point forward I was to inform them when I reach 1450 total time and they would give me a class date." It was the most vague and confusing ending to any job interview I have ever had. That was last Wednesday, still haven't heard anything as of today.

Cool, well, 3 months then. That's nothing...and you'll have a class date waiting. Congrats!

They said you'd have a better chance of succeeding if you had 1500 hours? Ridiculous! What about the riddle guys and other aviation majors who can get hired at 1000. My buddy interviewed at 1200 hours last week and has a confirmed May class date.

She told me "it's not just you, we often make the applicants who qualify for the restricted ATP wait until they are closer to the 1500. We truly prefer pilots who have 1500 hours, statistically they have a much easier time getting through our training."

Eagle also paid for me to go through the ATP CRJ 200 Jet standards course which falls under the part 142. That CRJ 200 FTD course was a 40 hour course. On top of that, I will obviously go through another Initial 121 for the 900 at PSA. Any way you cut it, I have the 100 hours. I agree that the sim time is something most don't ever log or care about. But at this point I am trying to use every single hour I can get. I have 500 hours 121, clean record, and have never failed a check ride. I really don't understand the logic to say that 172 time is what I need to help me prepare for 900 training while completely discounting a former 121 type rating and sim time that the FAA says I can use. Interviewer wouldn't give me credit for any of it. All other regionals I have interviewed with are counting all of it.
You contradict yourself. You don't think recent time in a actual airplane will help, but you insist on counting Frasca time from how many years ago.

Just get the time they want and email/call or whatever. You just look like a complainer now.

I would also be willing to bet at least someone from their recruiting reads these boards. I mean there is someone with the name PSAJOBS on here.

I have over 100 hours in the last 90 days. I just want to go back to the job I was once qualified to do prior to being called to active duty. Not complaining, just think that a lot of what I was told didn't make any sense.
