What's the upgrade at those two places now anyway? I'm sure they are slightly longer than PSA. It's still the "go to" for east coasters IMO.
I agree. But my goal, and the majority of PSA pilots goals, is to not to be a PSA pilot for our entire career. There is a lot of frustration building out on the line with this topic. As it stands our career progression to AA is just a career extension at PSA.

Management has always been reactive. As long as classes are being filled at PSA then all is fine. Right now as far as management is concerned all is great. They can cut out nice hotels, make crappy schedules, make everything horrible and as long as people show up for class then they are satisfied. Then when the pool dries up, they will come up with some other scare tactic to get a concession and people will flock there in exchange for ESSP (extra special selection process).

LOL.....Don't you work at Eagle.

You can't honestly still think this way.

I have had this discussion with a few high level management guys in the recent couple of months and they all said the same thing: they expect the SSP to become a flow and go to about 10/month with no increases until we get all aircraft on property in 2017. They are actually ahead of their hiring needs so far but they could not afford to lose more than 10 per month, especially since the senior guys they will lose first are check airman and APDs. They are concerned about agreeing to 10 per month and then having attrition pick up to other carriers.

Of course not. I hope to move on down the road myself. I was primarily talking about career destinations at Delta, United, Southwest, heck even JetBlue. And just because there might not be an increased departure of guys to AA or guaranteed flow in the future doesn't mean guys won't show up for class.

Of course I honestly still feel this way, why wouldn't I? I can assure you most all envoy pilots, current and former, feel this way too.

Nothing changes the fact that they voted for a concessionary contract when they said they wouldn't, thereby putting a halt to any sort of leverage and momentum the regional pilots had going forward. So yes, they made their bed and now I can only hope that they have to sleep in it a lot longer then planned.
