it prints you out a physical boarding pass for the jump, but to sign up for the jump you don't fill out a form like at united or virgin for example.

Other airlines have different procedures for jumpseating. Delta, for instance, you fill out a jumpseat form at the gate.[/QUOTe

Ummm no. You have to list for the jump seat. Just ask for the form when you get there. Once you fill it out they will put you in the computer. Keep in mind that if you are a must ride that some gate agents will tell you that you have to take the jump seat so they can get a revenue passenger on. You do not have to take it. Nor should you.

They'll also tell you to take it and that you can kick someone who is jumpseating off because you're positive space, another thing you shouldn't do.
Then, they'll call the tower and make you speak to their supervisor, in which he will beg then attempt to belittle and intimidate you into taking it.

Yes, it happened to me last month.

I think if you are space positive, you can check in on line and get your seat assignment. Then just board the airplane without talking to anyone.

I don't know about flica because I'm too new but I've seen them in the emails that come from scheduling when they screen shot the reservation.

When you're deadheading you won't get the email or confirmation number.

When the company is deadheading you some place the only way that I am aware you can get a confirmation # is by calling crew scheduling. My rule of thumb is IF I want to get on the dead head ie get home, then I will call crew scheduling in advance to get my confirmation #. If I don't really want to get on the dead head ie for a crumby assignment then I will show up to the gate on time and chances are our wonderful schedulers will have forgotten to book my dead head. Problem solved.

I do not believe that we have the ability to change our deadhead seat assignment, like I was able to do in my previous job working United Express Flights. If we can, I would love to hear how.

I haven't tried to do it, but I've heard from some people that if you do get the confirmation number, you can go in and change the seats using the usairways app.
