On a slightly different topic, for years I've heard how bad the Mesa contract is but I've never taken the time to look for details of their contract here on APC. Well, this morning I took a look at it. Do yourself a favor and look at it. It's AWFUL!!
Here's my point; the fact that Mesa continues to outperform PSA in attracting new hire pilots, given the abomination of a contract that they have,....... says something about PSA!

1) Under wing engines. Not going to happen at PSA.
2) Fast upgrades, although that ship has most likely sailed at MESA, despite all their flashy online marketing and their website.
3) Bases. All very commutable. PSA needs to figure this out.
4) iPads. I have no doubt that we'll soon see another FB marketing campaign touting iPads in the cockpit at PSA, and without cost to the pilot no less.
As far as pay, etc, PSA wins those categories hands down. Their health insurance premiums are ENORMOUS as well.
And dare I suggest that they grow a pair and start standing up to Dougie, ...... instead of joining him in his "group-think", circle-jerk sessions.
When we begin to hear about individual PSA management members leaving PSA to "pursue other interests",..... we'll know it's time for us to bail out as well.

You're free to volunteer any time you like. Who knows, they might actually learn something from your obviously comprehensive knowledge of labor law.
That's on them. The NC shouldn't feel the need to make that ask in light of other gains that could be made that have more value across the pilot group. If the company wants to offer it (and apparently they already have) let them do it of their own accord..
Which all sounds great and dandy on a pilot b1tch board until that pilot you "deal with in the parking lot" turns around and beats your scrawny little ass and the company drops an injunction on you in Federal Court.

Look, you and I both want the same things, and I think you and I both agree that we're (eventually) going to get them. That said, it's management's job to run a business and if they decide to run it in a way that doesn't align with our desires then you're going to have to be ok with that and move on. Sucks, but that's the way it is.
But in that process there's a right and a wrong way to do things, and you're going to have to figure that out too. We have a lot of things working in our favor, including market conditions, pilot supply, and even some good union leadership. Let those things do their job.
Commuting may be a choice, but let's deal with reality here. You have to stop the bleeding first.
Yeah, I'm ok with running off half cocked too. Do something instead of sitting on your thumbs.

On the subject of the 200s. Dion and Co. have been saying for a year or more now that they would all be painted by the end of Feb...then it was Mar. Now we are in April and they still aren't painted. If that isn't a sign of whats happening...I dunno what is.
The 200s are done....sooner than later.

My focus would be on applying pressure, publicly.
Regional airlines shouldn't even exist, I would like a hand in their demise.

And what you keep ignoring is that that's most likely going to happen anyway without stupid cr@p like "dealing with pilots in the parking lot."
