Also, as previously mentioned, Ive flown with a few guys who were hired in 07, and they say they should be flowing in the next 12 months. So, it would seem the flow is somewhere around 10 years right now.. give or take of course.
And it looks like flow will be reduced to 2 a month for the time being.

So now the problem becomes how long is the "time being". 3 months or 3 years etc. Time to get the apps out.

It will likely only be for 2 or 3 months over the summer while AA recalls it's furloughed pilots. And our CPs have already said that PSA will be making up the 3 /month that are not flowing this summer by the end of the year.

To anyone who reads this forum, understand that there are a lot of disgruntled and disenchanted pilots on here. And they make up a very small percent of the pilot group as a whole. And the same goes for every single thread to be found on this message board. Now I'm not saying that there aren't plenty of reasons for the PSA pilot group to be upset with our management and AAG right now, however it isn't as bad as many on here make it seem.

Going to venture out on the ledge for exactly as long as it takes to drop off a worthless opinion. In what’s hopefully end game push for regional acceptance as the main line business it clearly is; some of the sharpest analysis, lively give & take and must read forum commentary lives on these pages. God Speed gentlemen…and ladies.

Plain and simple: There is no reason to become a PSA FO unless you live in Charlotte, Knoxville, or Cincinnati/Dayton. As a reserve FO the last 13 months, things have gotten much worse for reserve FOs, and they will only continue to get worse as we get thinner and thinner on FO staffing. Expect to work your max duty period up to your last go home day. Company doesn't abide by the contract they signed however expects you to work outside of it to keep the operation running. Any regional is going to try and ****** you one way or another, but for some reason its just easier to take when your making more than $24 hour.

Or unless you can make an easy 1-leg commute to CLT. When/if we open ORD that will provide an easily commutable hub base as well.

Another base opening for psa, you're priceless. Can't crew what you have, let's open another base. This would make sense only if they closed another base to transfer those pilots.

Honestly who would want to have CVG as a base? The company was hoping for a big ex-Comair turnout. The gimmick didn't work. However, having good bases (with crappy pay) has proved workable for Mesa. Do I think it will work here by itself. Nope, it's too late for that. Doesn't mean management won't try it as the latest gimmick.

I don't see ORD opening for PSA. To me AAG wants to keep Envoy/Mesa in the midwest, PSA/PDT East coast, Compass/Skywest in the west.

Miami is a different story, I think AAG wants and need 175 down in FL. So I expect to envoy (MAYBEEEEEEEEEE, a big maybe) to open a MIA base. If not they will continue to use crews around the sistem.

Envoy used to have a lot of bases, but we were a 3,200 pilot company. Now below 2,000 I dont think that any WO company could have more than 3 bases and be able to focus on all of them.

Also, ORD is a hard commute, doesn't matter where you live. It would be easier in term of legs, but not in terms of getting a seat to work, specially in high season.

ORD opening?? Agree. Nope. Not unless we start getting people again. We're slowly losing pilots and the busy summer season is in a month. But for my curiosity, are we doing ORD flying still/yet?
