I don't know why you guys get so upset with each other. The Parker, Kirby, Glass machine rolls over all groups at the new American. In my opinion the only group to get anything over on them was the PSA MEC that snuck in the critical pay thing, and the SAP. Both which by the way have been blatantly circumvented by the company. So PKG wins anyway.
+1000 that's exactly why they mess with the grids etc. we snuck that backdoor "loophole" in and they paid for it...we see how that worked now though.

terrible grammar this morning from me.

I don't know where the post went, but one person had the right idea. SAP or sick to 65 and enjoy the summer.

See you all in the fall.

Too bad many FOs won't be able to do that unless they live off of their spouse or parents. Second year pay rate at 65 is about $1700/month net take home pay and the bonus is something you won't see in every paycheck. That bonus money should of been put towards higher FO pay rates, not a temp. quarterly payout. Poor FOs need cashflow.

Some captains aren't happy about that bonus money even though they make double or triple what FOS make. Greedy and shortsighted

Captains who feel that way are welcome to move on.

Actually, from a negotiating standpoint, it was short-sighted to accept the FO bonus. There went our leverage.

While I'd agree with you that once their first decision was made the MEC should've held thier ground, your supposition is only true if attrition improves moving forward. I don't think we have enough data in that yet, and there are still several other regionals that are paying more.

The only thing I'm not happy about regarding the bonus is that it wasn't enough for our FO's. The reason the MEC took it is that they finally realized there was nothing else coming. What is this leverage some speak of? Our true leverage keeps getting signed away with LOA's.
