New hires get ~$16,000 sign on bonus. If you are typed in the CRJ you get an additional $5,000 for a total just over $21,000. After year one you begin getting the retention bonus of $20,000 ($10,000 per year for two years paid quarterly - so $2,500 every three months).

Sorry, I should have worded my statement better. I saw the bonuses but it doesnt say if you're locked in for a time period. Does the sign on bonus require one year, two years..
I've gotten mixed reviews about flying for PSA but I'm more interested in an easy commute compared to anything else.

Leave before end of 2nd year = pro-rated payback (i.e. leave in 15th month = 9/24ths payback)
*You may opt-out of the new hire incentive bonus program, not receive the money, and not be committed to staying.

I'm no Cool-Aide drinking, PSA cheerleader and I'm no regional expert since this is my first (and should be my only), but working here hasn't been bad. It's not perfect by any stretch but we are working at a regional and I don't think anywhere else would have been any better. The people are solid, the crews are awesome, the flying is pretty good, the planes are safe, and the overnights aren't bad... some of them are really good. I have enjoyed my time here and at the same time I am looking forward to making the move to my career destination. Good luck with your decision.
