In response to lost weekends, we have a few every year. They are usually on holiday weekends where we are not operating a flight on Saturday for some reason. The crew will fly in Friday, and then fly out Sunday. I doubt that happens more than 10 times a year total systemwide. I think we had a couple in Burlington VT. It is very rare.

It is certainly not normal for that to happen.

"Lost day" trips are where you do a late flight in to an out station On day 1 and do the first flight out on day three while sitting at the hotel the whole day on day three.

Lost weekend would be last flight in on Friday followed by the first flight out on Monday with the entire weekend at the hotel.
We have had some trips with 30 hour overnights before so you would lose a single day, but never two.

We use to have CDO only lines, and those always went super senior. Reason being you would fly 30ish hours, and still get the monthly guarantee of 75 hours. About two years ago the company quit building CDO lines. The CDO trips typically are in open time and SAP. Problem with that is that if you trade into them own your own and cause yourself to drop below 75 hours (still respecting the minimum of 65 required CREDIT hours) then you forego the monthly minimum guarantee. CDOs do not trigger the daily minimum credit over the 2 calendar days they are flown, therefore you can't really swap into them and still maintain that required 65 credit hours. Example instead of a CDO (1 night) being 7 hours, it is only worth the 3.5 minimum per the contract. Hopefully I explained it well enough to make sense as to what we have and why they are no longer senior.

The pilot contract does afford the Company some options (vacation cancellation, cancelling/interrupting upgrade training, etc.).

That was on the email the company sent.
