If I can get Charlott as a Domicile it would make things super easy. How likely is it to get Domiciled at Charlotte right out of training? Just quickly glancing around, unless I can get on a Delta flight out of ATL I'm looking at a two leg commute to DAY, TYS or CVG. Not a huge deal breaker but from what I've read and heard having a one leg commute ups QOL a good bit and gives you a much better chance of getting to base on time.
Also correct me if I'm wrong but in a worst case scenario if I get on a PSA flight I can sit jump seat; weather it's in the cockpit or an FA spot. But if it's another carrier I'm basically just flying standby and would have to have a regular passenger seat.

You can sit in the cockpit jumpseat on any airline, but pilots do not sit in FA jump seats (I know some that have, but it is not normal).
PSA pilots commute on the jumpseat on Delta/United/SouthwestJetBlue flights all the time, and we have their pilots on our airplanes all the time as well. You can also ride on FedEx, UPS, and just about anyone else. AA has agreements with just about everyone in the US, and we have the same benefits as AA.

Right now, CLT is very junior - a month or two maximum.

Yes it is likely to be changed. Just because its contractual doesn't mean it is set in stone. Contracts can change. But more to your question of "is it going to go away?" I don't think so. If anything happens it's likely going to increase to something like Envoy or PDT. 25% of new hires per year for Envoy, PDT, PSA, and off the street. With a restriction of 1 person flowing per 125 on property.

Plus, for every 62 captains we add, we increase the flow by 1.
I would guess that all 3 of the WO will have similar flow agreements once they stabilize in size and the 824 leave Envoy.

This is correct. We were told that the company will meet with the pilots again about increasing the flow.

Management is reactionary. Once we lose 50+ pilots a month to other companies for a few months, they will realize that the flow is really a retention tool, not a recruitment tool and change it accordingly.
As it stands, there is no incentive to stay at PSA when a LCC calls. But if we had a good flow, less people would leave for elsewhere.

Anyone know how many active captains there were Jan 1, 2016? I'm guessing we have less now than we did then. We are finally upgrading at a somewhat steady pace now, but are continuing to lose a good amount with and without the flow each month. I don't see there ever being a gain of 62.

Heard from someone in fleet planning. AAG will resume transferring the 700s in February/March at 2 to 3 /month and we are supposed to announce "a new base" (DCA) around that time too, perhaps in January. Beyond that, options for the remaining 900s are a "remote possibility" but that's "too far in the future" to plan for right now.
