I second this. His personal life choices made him a bitter man. I do think he held some type of grudge against the pilot group because we are getting opportunities he never had.

Agreed. For someone who use to be high up in ALPA, it always blows my mind how much he can be against pilots. He's also apparently telling upgrade classes that they are basically the same as mainline CAs, but won't answer why they aren't paid the same then if he thinks that, or why he refuses to treat the pilots as such if he's going to spew that crap. More than happy to see him go. Everyone gets better opportunities than you when you drink and drive, with the exception of DP. Realize your mistake and don't take it out in others.

Let's go over pay items:

Can someone confirm:

New hires paid 75hr/month starting on day 1
Plus sign on bonus (understand it takes a while to process)
Plus 24/7 per diem while in training.

AT SECOND YEAR:
75hr/mon
IS RETENTION BONUS $10000 OR $20000/YR. I am reading it to actually be $10000/yr, paid at $2500/qtr for two years or until upgrade.

Is that the case?

Also, is there a uniform allowance? If so, how much?

You have it all correct except the retension bonus is 10k on your first (and second) anniversary paid at $2500 per quarter. I think uniform is $400 after your first year, you pay for initial issue

Change to bonus. Now paid after check ride as I understand it.
Cheers

Are you talking about the sign-on bonus being paid after the checkride??

Yes. Came down from AAG management. Sign on bonus only after the checkride is passed. Will be the same for all AA WO carriers.

Yes, verbiage changed to "later of" all the background, drivers, criminal history checks OR Initial Proficiency Checkride.

After checkride (5 weeks of ground school and 2 weeks of sims- so about 7 weeks) instead of after 3-4 weeks.

Too many people starting ground school and jumping ship before sims for all 3 carriers combined.

Totally makes sense. Saves AAG time and effort to pay that out and try to recoup it.

Is the 24/7 per diem AND min guarantee pay ALL THE WAY through training? Including ground school, time to go to CLT, sims, time to go to CVG for differences and then check ride?
