Is your hire date on the seniority list predicated off when you begin your CTP or when you begin Indoc? Could someone be in the middle of CTP training and not have a hire date yet?

Hire date is first day of indoc. CTP students are not employees yet.

Say a class of 30 starts next Monday, a percentage of those new-hires could have already been with the company for a few weeks, working on a CTP course?

You interview and get offered a hard class date, but show up a few weeks earlier, if you require the CTP course?

Yup, I did it. You are not employed or paid for the ATP-CTP time but they pay for the class. Your seniority is based on age when you get to indoc.

I guess they figure they dont want to pay you, go through all the paperwork, then have you fail your written or something dumb like that. Oh well, still better than paying. I dropped 5k on the CTP before everyone was offering it. Plus free sim warm ups in the same sim you'll be training in. Thats worth its weight in gold. My 6 hours in the A320 sim didnt do anything for me.

Consider how much more senior you are than the most senior free CTP guy, and what that means.

You'll earn that 5K back, may take a while though.

Just so it is clear, although you are not getting paid during CTP-CTP, PSA is putting you up in a single occupancy hotel.

They also positive space fly you to and from training, arrange transportation for you to take the written test, and provide meals.
