No. From my sources, it was 5 new hire PILOTS and 1 dispatcher. There was supposed to be a 6th pilot in the class, but he/she differed until a later class, (probably waiting on a better offer, would be my guess).
The previous class had 5 new hire pilots, but it's now down to 3 remaining. One guy accepted another job after indoc. started and as I seem to recall, the other guy had a family emergency to attend to.
So either way you slice it, hiring ain't keepin' up with attrition.

SAP 75, no open time, no junior man.
If we are doing more than the minimum right now we are only encouraging them to continue doing things the way they have been doing them. They won't improve conditions and they won't fix critical pay until they have to cancel flights.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they paying. I'd rather use their money to buy a suitcase than uniforms. You've got to be joking with the sucking the pilot group dry bit. We were using our uniform allowance. Money they gave us off paycheck for, you know, uniforms and stuff. Hardly bleeding anyone dry.

There is a uniform allowance. After your first year you get a set amount of money from the company to pay for uniforms and such. But the first year it is deducted from your paycheck until all your uniforms are paid for. Seems like it took about 6-8 months to pay off my initial uniforms. But back then they told us we had to buy the leather jacket. Which was about $250. Now they have the option of not buying it.
