I decided not to buy the Twin Hill shirts. What specifications must I look for from other suppliers? Just the basic AA appearance standards? There's a lot of poor quality stuff on the market. I'd like to get it right the first time.

White. We wear wings on the shirts so get the ones with the eyelets for the prongs to go through.

A Cut Above fit me great. I like them better than the Van H.

I posted this before but will post again.....

When I got approval from the uniform lady to use my old shirts from a previous airline, the only restrictions I was told was a) has to be double breast pockets b) you HAVE to have holes for the wings c) no collar stays/buttons.

The Twin Hill shirts have the new AA logo on the sleeves but having them isn't a requirement.

I know some airlines take money out of your new hire bonus if you don't have your ATP already. We don't do that. We give you the ~$5000 class for free, and give you another $1000 worth of hotel rooms, and then the full bonus on top of that.
Yea I was just making sure of the clarification and it's a great deal anyway!... I can see how valuable that initial sim training could price to be in relation to being in the CRJ before Indoc. Thanks.

My two cents thinks its should be 75% flows and 25% street hires in American's classes...

Meh... what do I know.
I just ran into a psa guy who has an interview outside of the flow at AA.

We have had quite a few interview and get hired outside of the flow recently.

The majority of our new hires in 2014 were prior 121. Most were 7-8 year FOs elsewhere. Now, they are captains with 5000+ Turbine 121 time and 1000+ PIC. Now, they are very competitive at all of the majors and we are starting to lose them.

Outside attrition to the majors or LCCs is a great thing! I think we all expect to lose at least half of them in the next year or two, reducing the flow time for everyone else.

Packing for Trips??

In a previous life at a previous employer we had paper charts which consumed nearly one FULL bag. Couple that with your typical roll-aboard and it was a ton of stuff.

Since we now use IPADS, which bags do you suggest for luggage? Is Luggage works still the bag of choice?

Suggestions or stories from the line?

Thanks,
