For a normal hire (not RTP), you get 25 hours in the sim that are able to be used toward ATP/RATP.

So, you can be hired at 1475 for an ATP (non-restricted).

So for the R-ATP it would be 1225.. correct? Just deducting the same 25 hrs ? Other related question is if in the case of the R-ATP , what if someone was at 1220, does it really have to be exact. Just want to be able to tell friends accurately

More complicated than that. Some R-ATP are 1000tt that includes FTD and airline sim. So technically you can log frasca time towards your R-ATP if it's approved in the 141 syllabus for a rating.
I.e. You have 900tt single engine and 25 multi engine. The 25 in the airline sim, plus 50 in whatever level frasca your 141 school uses for its TCO. You can't just sit in a frasca and log it, it has to be part of the requirement for a rating.

Technically you can log more than 25 hours of airline sim time towards your TT requirement. Everyone thinks not because you need 50 multi and 25 in a multi engine airplane so they give you the other 25 in their sim, then defacto think that's all you can apply.

Thanks... i just was not clear on if you had to meet the total time exactly, or could be just a little short, including the Sim hours.

There are actually even more exemptions past that, but for simplicity sake, the majority of people need 1475. Those that qualify for RATP usually know exactly what they have and what they need.

This is interesting, do you have any confirmation of this, or a letter of interpretation? I can see how 61.160 could be read this way, but do the airlines recognize that?

Say I've logged 25 hours dual sim in a 141 course, but I did not include that in my total time in my logbook. Do you thing psa would have a problem with "adding on" that 25 hours as part of my total?

Thanks!

Just found this advisory circular that seems to indicate that an AATD (such as a frasca sim) can indeed be used towards the atp minimums, as long as it is part of a 141 schools tco. Page 19 address AATD's

As far as the cost, it depends on your family size. I think for just me, as a single, I pay something like $62 a month including vision and dental.
Any benefit/bonus from the company if you forgo medical insurance?
