Man, whole I know that this very moment seems like THE time to sign up, I can't start training with the company until next may, actual Indoc probably closer to August. I'm hoping that all the opportunity that's happening right now won't have passed me by.

No one can say with any certainty as to what will happen in this industry. That said, if I was a betting man, I believe there will be opportunity for quite a few years to come. We are seeing high rates of attrion from both FO's and Captians, and with the legacies hitting full stride in retirements in the next couple years, this place will become a revolving door. I think the bigger issue here will be remaining competitive with other regional's as the well of entry-level pilots continues to dry up. This segment of this industry is flavor of the month, whoever is offing the best package will continue to have applicants at their doors. So, if by the time you are ready to join PSA and progression has slowed, there will be another regional with opportunity. What is keeping you from starting sooner?

I'm an army RW guy sitting at 19 years this summer. I go to interview at PSA in May after I get back from some military travels. Despite how good the current situation, I'm not jumping ship a year early vs receiving a lifetime retirement starting at the age of 38. Still plenty of time to chase the legacy golden ring after that. And I'm thinking of holding off starting any FW training until in the job, simply because I believe my quality of training and condensed timeline would be more desirable. Or maybe I'll wait until my last few months to get the ME/C/I rating so that I walk out of this job one day and directly into time building on the PSA dime while on terminal leave (aka still getting a full paycheck).

Are you interviewing this May or planning for next year? I'm Navy RW and at my interview in January they said the CJO was good for six months (I couldn't commit to a class date right then as they didn't have any after my separation date). It might be different for their rotor to regional program though.
