Allen and Ng4 are actively marketing our MRO work to other CRJ operators. If Air Wisky is unhappy with their current heavy contractor, then I'm sure they're looking. It's all a matter of pricing and beating out other MRO facilities. I know they're not looking to start a full blown MRO service like Delta Tech Ops does.

I'm just passing along the information here from the fourth quarter 2008. The report says that we have some of the highest unit costs; but it goes on to say that we have the highest revenues and yields. It also contains a direct link to the DOT's RITA report where you can see the raw data first hand.

Look at tables 4 (Profit Margin), 16 (Unit Revenues) and 20 (Passenger Yield). We lead the pack in the regionals. It's very telling.

I think Comair's MEC needs some new blood.... and a little smarts... Which is where I come in. I've been at Comair for 5 years and in JFK for 2 1/2 - and I think we need some changes. So, to do this I need to be nominated for Council #45 First Officer Rep. Anyone want to help me?

Respectfully, we have no idea who you are or what your position is on anything. What would you do different than the current lec or mec is doing? Have you served on any committees? Are you truly prepared to literally be on call 24/7 and ready to take that call at 3:30am on Christmas morning from a pilot with a scheduling issue?

Just a few things to consider.

I need to take the ATP written again since mine is expired and I no longer work 121. Debating whether to spend a few weeks studying the gleim, or to just head over to ALL ATPs and take a 1 day course next week.

What would you do?

You'll most likely pass with the one day course..but it's like ...300 bucks now? (its been almost 3 years since i took it..but that's the number that i'm remembering).

You will also go NUTS in the process. If you have the time..i'd say just study.
