Enjoy your obvious bid to the E190, but don't troll for absolution. You'll find none here.

If I were at RAH I would have to be the victim of a mandatory displacement to accept this flying.

Now your management even fixed the pay issue for you guys by making it below 99 seats, HOW CONVENIENT FOR YOU!!! 66 717s VS 95 seat E190s. Somebody said something about throwing up.....
I don't get the point of your question. He's saying he's hoping we wouldn't accept the flying as a pilot group. I'm saying we don't have the option to accept or deny any of this since as it sits it does not violate any contracts. Make any sense? If they show up we can't simply say "no thanks". We don't have a choice.

I am a furloughed Chq pilot and btw want nothing to do with the 190's. I think its really bad for our profession. But like I said we(the pilots) don't have a choice about what MIdw and RAH mgmt do to us.

Would I take a recall to the 190? I honestly don't know. I would like to think I wouldn't on principals sake but its hard to know if it were in my lap. I do know this. We need a union that will take this to the mat for our pilot group ASAP. And I think the Midw pilots should fly them.

Let me save everyone the trouble of this situation. Midwest will close it's doors and then RAH will not be flying 190s. It is just a matter of time. This will make everyone happy, no?

You guys *do* have the choice of NOT BIDDING the vacancies. If those planes fly at least have them flown by 100% displaced pilots, no volunteers. No one should put "E190" or "MKE" in their displacement preferences either. You should literally have to be forced into the position(s).

Of course everyone knows what will actually happen.

Is there even going to be a MKE domicile???

Don't they staff the MEH 170 flying they already have via PHL and DCA?

You keep saying that RAH saved 3/4 of Midwest pilot jobs. Do you realize that Midwest used to have 400ish pilots, & are now down to around 100 pilots? No more MD80s & only 8 B717s now.

So once again RAH did not save 3/4 of Midwest pilot jobs. The E170s & the $$$ RAH management provided helped to ELIMINATE 3/4 of the Midwest pilots jobs & only left about 1/4 of the Midwest pilots employed.

Yes, there will be a MKE base. With the company configuring the 190's to 94 seats it's taken away any leverage the IBT might have had regarding "new aircraft", which they were supposed to give 6 months notice to us (they didn't) and a chance to negotiate a new pay rate for the aircraft (which we won't now until the new CBA goes out to vote). The one saving grace is that if no one volunteers it will be an involuntary displacement (which I sincerely hope the pilot group stands together and refuses to bid for).

RAH has now lowered the career bar far below sea level.

How pathetic to fly a 190 with that little pay scale. Would RAH pilots really fly for that little?

The quality mainline jobs at Midwest have been replaced this silly entry level airline.

RAH pilots....do you think flying that E190 for that pay - you will have respect in the industry (if any)?

I hope no pimple popping crew bids the E190. DON'T DO IT.... The industry and fellow pilots everywhere are watching you.

Look in the mirror, accepting the E190 flying at RAH will pave the future for yourself and others WITHOUT a good paying job and quality of life.

This whole thing is rediculous...what's the point the *******in things are gonna be flown no matter what, displaced pilots or not. Why don't we try and do something that will actually work.
