So are you saying it's a 'hard' time that i have to meet to get an interview and/or job? or is it still a 'preferred' number and i still have a shot?

By the way, my logbook actually shows over 800 hours of PIC time since i log PIC when i CFI. So THAT is the actual number that counts when getting my ATP right?? So the 200 PIC hours that airline apps shows shouldn't 'really' matter right? AE won't hold THAT number up the 250 hour requirement will they?

Have you finished the application yet? What does AApps say at the end when it totals up everything? It should count all that as PIC.

Total by Category and Class:
SEL--- MEL
757--- 112

Total by Type of Time:
PIC--- Instructor--- SIC--- Dual--- FE/Nav
196--- 518---------- 0----- 155--- 0

*Total Summary:
PIC --- Total
714 --- 869

****Now my actual TT in my logbook is just over 900 hours (here it shows it as 869), but i guess if i take out anytime that i couldn't log PIC (ie. student pilot) it ends up being close to 869 hours. Is that right?

Well, in terms of your initial question of "do i have 250 PIC"..that total summary should answer your question there..you're fine with that minimum.

I would however, recommend that you get your total times between AApps and logbook to match up. There should be a spot for "student" in there somewhere.

It's a PITA, but you don't want anything glaringly different between the two.

I can't for the life of me figure out where i'm screwing this up. I'm using Safelog elogbook. If i filter for only Dual time it comes out with 154.9, if i filter for just Instructor time, it comes out with 518.7, now if i take away all filters, and take my PIC time (860.8), subtract the dual and instructor times, i come up with 187.2 (doesn't match with the 196 PIC). When you are listing your aircraft (or sets of aircraft) on airlineapps it tells you take your PIC and subtract out instructor and dual time to get the correct PIC number. I've done this multiple times and just can't get everything to match up.

My logbook numbers are:

TT = 906.5
PIC = 860.8
FI = 518.7
Dual = 154.9

anyone have any clues as to where i'm screwing this up?

Well..it's always possible the math in your logbook is messed up. As someone else mentioned...get an online logbook..or make a crude excel spreadsheet to help you with the math.

How much time did you fly in getting your Multi add on?

I'm using an online logbook. And always verify my math between the online book and the written book after each page. aaarrrgghhh :-)

Between getting the multi add on (8.0 hrs), the mei training, and some part 135 training, i have a total of 16.3 hours of Dual Multi.

The 8 hours of multi add on is one that people mess up all the time. That ain't no PIC time!

Good luck with all that, there's nothing more frustrating than having to deal with logbook nonsense!
